There are lots of permutations and Im sure that I will agree with some. Overall though, I have FAR less of an issue with people who hide up somewhere than I do the people who run around everywhere like its Quake Arena or UT.

That and the fact thats its all designed particuarly so that people can always come up behind you spoil the game/s for me - I want to play army FFS.

Ive never understood others issue with 'camping'. Surely its part of the game? If not, then why are snipers rifles and ghillie suits options to select? Id sooner be shot by a sniper whos holed up somewhere, than a wally running around with a sighted rifle quick scoping me!
How about someone hiding in a corner with a shotgun who waits until someone runs past and doesn't even have to aim, they just jab wildly at the trigger. Once killed they then go to another corner and repeat. It's as cheap and frustrating as it gets.
The only thing that annoys me is constant re-spawn point killing.

Same. That really is the only thing as well.

I stopped playing domination because of the spawns. Finding demolition much better. Prefer the objective games.

Well without people running around you've not got much of a game. If everyone found a corner and hid in it you've got a bit of a stalemate on your hands. Everyone plays it in a different manner and it's learning to counter each play style that's part of the fun. I have to say that after a mad period of play over the double XP weekend it's not been back in the XBox since for me.

However frustrating corner campers are they will always be part of the game, and I echo above, I just adjust my playing style / route accordingly. Been having some great games late evening with Rob (RaRathon) not only HCTDM but also HCCTF, our styles work well as a combo. Normally we will be top scorers in any CTF game as we work as wingman for each other.

Same here, really. It can get annoying sometimes, but you just have to be clever about it.

agree with this also. infact if that is what they do they not exactly going to get many kills compared to running around. yes they might not have many deaths but defo not many kills

Does anyone else find they get an irresistible urge to take out the camper that just killed them? Even though they managed to kill you once and could well do it again?

I always find myself getting killed time and time again by the same person in the same spot.

Really I should just think "he got one once, he'll do it again" and move on somewhere else laugh

Infuriating game, most of the complaints on here can be applied to any cod game ,but for the love of god how can I see only a persons head, empty a full round into it and them not die ? Only for them to shoot about 2 bullets from a submachinegun 2 miles away and kill me ?
If you are sticking 10,20,30 bullets into someone they should die ,not be able to run through it to knife you .
Its just rock paper scissor stones ,who has the best weapon for the situation ,reduces the skill level enormously.
Apart from that it could be great, good maps ,varied game styles just make the weapons actually do something apart from the shotguns and high end sub machine guns.

My connection is fine. I'm talking about on the killcams when you apparently didn't fire a bullet at them even though you fired loads.

Noob tubes annoy me beyond reason. I don't know why they're still in the game after all the complaints about them.

I never seem to lag like you do, leasing me to believe it is your connection.

As for grenade launchers, I've been killed by one. Not seen another yet.

Had this a few times last night, it's really odd. The amount of 50/50s I lose then watch replay with me not even shooting is not funny.

Think I lasted 4 games before throwing MW2 back in the xbox, the last game was FFA on Yemin. A sniper at the top market place, looked left picked me off, I spawn to directly to his right and before my weapon comes out he picks me off, I spawn to his far left of which he picks me off, this happened 5 times in about 10 seconds worth of play before rage quitting.

As for the camping. It does spoil games. Somewhere between the campers and the twitchers would be perfect. Each their own but there's nothing worse than being in a game with no one moving & the game timing out before the score limit. Very boring & lame.

It's odd. The game is actually not that bad. Decent cartoon like graphics, audio a little dodgy and echoey, quite a few good weapons/loadouts, lots of good maps and game types. However, for me, it just overall doesn't work and gel well. The bad spawns, inconsistent weapon power, horrific lag at times and the general tw@tty way people play the game makes it a bag sh!te. I just don't leave the game having enjoyed myself, this though could all be down to me being a bit sh!t ha ha.

All the time, but I tend not to stop until I kill them! Plays havoc with my Kbiggrin ratio

Compared to CODs of old, there's barely any noob tubing IMO.

Lag, on the other hand, I've experienced plenty of, and I've got a solid 65Mbps down, 20Mbps up, and never get a ping of more than 32ms, usually 15-20ms.
I just put it down to other people having a crap connection, packet loss somewhere along the way or the much discussed lag compensation feature getting screwy. Doesn't bother me, I played Counter Strike on some truly horrible connections for years, it's a minor issue these days.

Honestly I beg too differ, you may have a 4 bar in the game, but if your ping is bad then you will have bullet lag, and it's noticeable. I have a poor connection at times, and can tell when my game is lagging or not, those are the games I tend to go 30-29 rather than 30-13.

Your ping to where precisely? Your ping to the local pingtest.net server is as relevant as tits on a fish - the only thing that matters is your ping to whoever is HOST at that point in time. This is my major complaint with this game. If I set my search preferences to "best", how can the "best" host be in Italy/Spain/France/somewhere else with 3rd world broadband? I would be willing to wait 10/20 mins to get a game where everyone was actually local to me!

When the game works well (ie. everyone is local!) it's fantastic. 90% of the time it's a complete waste of time.

I often suffer quite badly in BO2 with lag compensation too (never this bad in MW3). My connection is quick enough (<20ms pings, 12 up, 1 down) but, as I understand it, it's more about the spread between the worst and the best connections in the lobby. There's nothing more infuriating than when you die, quite unexpectedly, and then your killer 'teleports' in, right in front of you. When I play regular core and get to see the killcams they very rarely reflect anything close to what I see during the live game.

I would say I lose about 75% of battles where I am making the first shot on target,I usually finish with most headshots as well so its not my aim, last night i was using a heavily kitted out light machine gun ,I sneak up on a player with his back to me empty literaly 30 bullets into him,he just turns round and pops off one shot which killed me,it got worse as the killcam showed it wasnt even a headhsot.
And please noone suggest hardcore...noone does anything they just camp.

Setting your search preferences too best also defines who you are in a game with by spm.
