I accidentally sent apu on the 7 day task and he's needed for the first whacking day bit... need donuts or some way to speedup/cancel it.

Find out where he is (click on his new task and it'll tell you where he is)
Put that building into storage and Abu goes with it, ending his current task. Bring the building back out of storage and he's back unhindered by a task
