Touch and go whether will complete and get the island. Partly my fault for not keeping up with it in early days but server issues making it very difficult now.
Also some days back when you jokers were on about running out of elves to fire, wondered wtf on about as could never get below about 150. Now I see.

One way to boost your bell count is, like I've been doing, hoard and don't shoot them until you get enough cogs to upgrade the cannon to 6 bells per elf. Then fire them all getting a bonus bell per shot. This also means you get a backlog of elves to shoot so no more blanks.
Another method is to tap on the bells above the canon and elf cave on your neighbours towns, this gives you multiple more bells than regular taps.
Thanks, have been using every dodge to try and get back on schedule. Beginning of the week was about 1400 bells below the calendar target and now about 20300 ish. Calendar says end of today, which is 20 hours away admittedly the target is 20126 iirc.
Too close for comfort especially as tomorrow is an on the road day. So just leaving it mostly to accumulate elves. Probably get two chances to clear them.

About the same as me, except I have about 19000 - not going to get the island!
Had a glitch a couple of times when my elf cannon was ready to fire and also had been friend tapped, but the handshake thingy didn't go automatically like it usually does. Tapping it clears that but also reset the cannon timer without firing any elves.

Right end of the Christmas part 2 event has changed.
When I looked yesterday I had 3d 20h left which seemed like a lot considering it's supposed to end on the 13th.
This morning only 2d 8h left which tied in better with what I thought but wondered what was happening so had a trawl round reddit.
Found out end date has changed see link below. Now the 18th 5 extra days. As you see in that thread it doesn't show in the prize bar but on the ? in the general event page. That now shows 7 d *h.
Confused?
It seems that EA are also confused and again reading on that thread there is so much wrong it's ridiculous and explains why I won't spend real money on this twaddle. Example some people bought donuts for cash, didn't get the donuts and now have to call EA help desk to get it sorted on a case by case basis.
Anyway more time to get that tropical island.

In other news, as a matter of courtesy Miss FiF has nuked her town and uninstalled. So anyone with beekatheri288 please un friend. Ta.
