Yes and no. Mrs B tried to explain it to me - clearing the "pins" (or "green eyeballs" as I now call them) left by your visitors increases your 'flu levels (to inexplicable 120%+ or whatever) and bumps you up to more tourists carrying the 'flu and thus more potential rewards - I think....spitfire-ian said:

After saying I was close to quitting I'm, er, still going!
There are too many airport bits - it's huge! I've already had to move things around.
So is there any prize for getting to the end of the ridiculous level 4 of the flu? I thought I was doing alright until I saw the last level needs 600! I'm only halfway there.

That is me, and the short answer is no, I don't 
I find i spend most of my time moving stuff, completing challenges etc, collecting money/clicking on stuff gets forgotten
As above, I've had Reddit supplied donuts for maybe 2 years now. Hasn't stopped me playing, I still do all the challenges, etc I just like to have all the good stuff too

Same goes with the likes of Pokemon Go. I like the idea of catching all the pokemon etc but CBA actually flying to Venezula to catch some rare breed. f

There's too many events after events all following the same formula now.
