Nooo! you didnt have enough left for insurance? You can sell weapons as part of the insurace if I remeber!
Unlucky!
I had enough, but there's not enough left now to cover it. I could sell weapons and stuff and still be flying around but no I think it might be back to basics for a bit. It's my own fault for dipping into the game for a short time where work and other stuff have allowed, not making any money. This game requires focus and commitment or things start going awry! Unlucky!
I've only played for about 8 hours so far other things and a cold bad man-flu having prevented me but I'm currently in an Adder (saved upgraded Sidewinder) with extra cargo trading based from the Eravate system and 25ly around and the only bugs I have encountered are station warnings when leaving some docks, I'm not slow, I'm leaving with permission and I'm not crashing but I get a warning followed immediately by dock privileges reapplied. I have witnessed another ship being shot at in a station and blowing up, which was nice. I stripped out the Sidewinder earlier to max it's cargo and upgraded it's FSD but got lucky with two 30k and 17k 1 system jump supply missions that both had good importing profits so on those two alone I made ~57k in very short time.
Looking to now go back to Eravate an do a few fast local system trades, up cargo to 20-26t and then upgrade the FSD and head further out. I think Noaticia, Belu or Rish are the furthest I've been. I kept meaning to go to Eta Serpentis but I get waylaid and end up going back with guaranteed profits or missions.
Combat, er, nothing yet not doing any of that until I have some muscle. Been interdicted twice, an early on restart and last night twice by the same pirate but I evaded his grasp. Haven't touched or even looked at weapons upgrades.
I have sold cartographic data, even though I haven't gone out to survey.
Mining, no thanks.

Mining is incredibly boring, I tried it and had to give up! Takes so long for little reward. Well there's another patch - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=116...
- Fix crash with ring values being incorrect
- New partially constructed station added to New Yembo
- Added Goldrush station to LAWD 26
- Increase comms timeout to allow for slower connections
- Added talk channel logging to help identify issues with people not being able to chat
- Additional network key tests to help identify mismatched keys (connection failing)
- Station defences beefed up and not confused by chaff
- Changed system name ‘Bodb Djedi’ to ‘Bodedi’
- Update to friendly fire values. An increase across the board it's now possible, for example, to hit a non-targeted ship with multiple (up to 3) double small pulse laser hits before it turns aggressive
- Fix incorrect French number format
- Fix missing Russian characters
- You can no longer destroy ships by taking out their docking computer
Server-side changes:
- Fix issue that was not always issuing fines when ships were scanned whilst carrying prohibited cargo
- Ships that were stored in Starports that changed into Outposts at 1.1 have been moved to the closest Starport with a shipyard
- Fix a rare issue that was not always granting first discovery credit to every stellar body when selling exploration data for certain types of star system
Not tested to know though.

TrackIR arriving tomorrow
Nice. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it, it becomes so intuitive!I'm currently grinding credits again, however I'm nearly done. Ive got the Asp A rated across the board aside from shields, next step is A6 shields which are 15M Cr only another 8M Cr to go.....

Bored, time for me to take a break
Knew it was a bad sign when I started researching Star Citizen...
I've been taking time out here and there, this has from beta had the feel of that teenage romance with the really fit but vacuous bird; see her too much and it's soon all burnt out Knew it was a bad sign when I started researching Star Citizen...

I'm still really enjoying it so I guess I'm not at the conversation stage yet then ash73 said:
tbh for me it's been great value, £35 for 2 solid months entertainment playing nearly every day. Might get back into it but, once the graphics get old, the only bit I really enjoy is the varied interaction at nav-points.
My highlights:
I would agree with pretty much everything you've said there, especially the NPCs which need their AI sorting and fast. For me though, the game still holds a lot of magic and I still have goals that need to be achieved before I get bored of it. I think because work and family commitments mean I cannot spend every waking hour playing it means my progression is somewhat slower than it could be too. However...I agree that a bit more depth is needed and I am looking forward to the wings update as I think more co-operative play will deliver that depth. In time, I expect even more to be added as hinted at on the forums, so I'm happy to stick with it for now.My highlights:
- Climbing the combat learning curve, I thought it would be a repetitive grind but I've noticed my technique changing and improving, and PvP gets the adrenalin pumping.
- Blitzing opportunities like rares and luxuries when they come along, knowing they wouldn't last long and wanting to grind the cash for better ships.
- Exploring some "real" stars that I recognise from doing astronomy as a hobby. This really added to the richness of the game, imo.
- No trading tools. You have to dock to query prices and can't even copy the data to the clipboard. Typing prices into a spreadsheet killed trading for me.
- Supercruise. I *hate* supercruise. It feels clunky, creates one-on-one interaction and is far too slow. Select target, line it up, alt-tab and surf the net for 5 mins.
- Non-persistent NPCs. Jump in and out of an instance and everything changes, all the NPCs are random and don't do anything sensible; and most have silly names.
On the supercruise thing, again I'm inclined to agree but then space is BIG and I'm not sure it could have been done any other way?
Massive Elite fan from back in the day, played it to death on crappy hardware with no mouse and I was dying for this new one to come out. Signed up early, donated a fair chunk, bought a powerful machine and an X55 stick and yet I just can't seem to get going.
I've restarted about 50 times, fiddled about, done a little trading and a little fighting but just haven't been hooked, the conclusion I've reached is Supercruise.
It's just a bloody chore, doesn't add anything and breaks up the feel all the time. I know it's been done to death on the forums and we seem to be stuck with it but I think it has killed the game for me, a real shame, I was looking forward to this more than any other game in the last 20 years.

I think those have all been 'balanced'. It's tucked away in the extensive 1.1 patch notes. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=112...

Don't for 2 sets of beams weapons you will surely overheat! I go for 1 continuous beam and 3 multicannons! I have noticed you can't have all 4 going for a while, it will over heat! I think it correct but a pain I am happy to deal with!
Cheers... Last time I was in my combat phase the 2 Beams were great ... Looks like I will have to re-adjust things ...Just come back to this after a week's break...decided to rank up to Earl in the Empire; this turned out to be a complete chore as the last mission was to kill 7 pirates in a dead system...cue 3 hours of waiting for a USS to pop up, jump out of supercruise, find out it's not a pirate, rinse and repeat...3 hours later still not enough pirates located so the mission timed out. Had to re-qualify for the mission and try again, this time the random number generator was in my favour and just 2 hours of USS scoping later I was an Earl.
Took on a mission to kill an Anaconda, at the end he rammed me causing 47% hull damage...which cost Cr.930,000 to repair. Great.
Not many milestones left for me to achieve now...I'm within touching distance of becoming Dangerous, so I might get that under my belt. After that, I'm not sure how much more there is in the game for me.
But if that is where I leave it, it's given me over 2 months solid play, not bad. But achieving the last couple of rungs on the rankings feels like it would just be too much of a grind to be bothered with.
