I sometime do a full reverse followed by max (blue mark) fwd with thruster and yaw! With upgrade of thrusters you can get behind the target alot easier!

head to head? flick flight assist off, throttle to zero, pull back on the stick to rotate without changing trajectory, you should now be facing the same way but going backwards, flight assist on, throttle up and boost to chase them.

You can't do that though, they must have been jumping manually, I suppose they must have fitted the best drive you can get for long jumps..

only 7 days to go.. at the moment enjoying the combat demo immensely and itching to start the whole game..

With talk of the universe being so huge, does anyone know if there is a single point within it where all new players start their journey ? of does everyone pop up at various locations throughout the playable universe? Just wondering this as come the 16th - there may be a few space stations extremely full with new players..

I get 193 days at 2000c (max supercruise I think)

you need to hyperjump it, which means being at the computer.
If it was a straight line it would be 106 10 light year jumps, so it's do able, my current ship will jump 19 LY

At the moment you start in a random federation system, unless you have access to one of the different starts from the kickstarter. I think this is how it will stay after the 16th.

Yah Gamma 2.0 patch update! Grrr cant log on so I am guessing the servers are still down :-( just upgraded to my new cobra need to play!

edit as of 19:20 new update on launcher kick starts the download of 2.0 gamma!

Probably not played since October. Put around 30hrs in then but decided to wait to launch.

I must admit I'm a bit miffed that they haven't done a wipe. I could have been playing weeks ago !!

I have been using http://www.elitetradingtool.co.uk and also helping adding new station data! I am frustrated as most of the good profit trade is within 20 lightyears about Sol and keep on coming back to Sol to make good money!

3 - One due to stupity and 2 to bugs. Never lost one in combat.... In fact in about 40 hrs I've only been in combat twice !

I haven't lost a ship in ages, not lost one in gamma or the last beta, not even sure when i last blew up.

I have had to make a run for it a couple of times.

I have lost 3 I think! I thought I had a tricked out ship and decided not to bother trying to esacpe out of next interdiction and had a Inperial Clipper attack my Eagle and killed me in one fly by!

But no I cant play as I get a the spining ship of nothing when trying to log on to patch 2.05 1st big bug in gamma!
