Sorry not sure if im being a bit thick but i dont fully understand these steps.
So i got the Sop tweakers on, FFB set to 100 in both the utility an game with dead zone set to 0 also in game. So i have run the utility and it has said "Your maximum value for SteeringFFBBaseOffset is 17.5% (1750)"
So what do input the value of 0.17 in to in game?
You input 0.17 in to the dead zone removal line in your pCars controller settings.

Make sure you read through that post on pCars line by line making sure you amend the settings stated that are not in the tweaked files.

The tweaked files just go in your my documents folder but make sure it the the FFB folder you put in.

Let us know how it feels.

EA have the license for Porsche and have done for about 20years now
How is it that one company can hold onto the license of one of the most iconic car makers on the planet for so long? I thought these things were timed too so surely it should have lapsed by now? Whoever made that deal for EA must be laughing their socks off!

Can someone with a wheel (PC version) do a no assists lap of Brands Hatch indy in the Sierra RS500 please and post their time / times?

Just had a go with default settings on a wheel I dragged out the loft and am wondering if it's not too bad or utterly shocking!
Had a quick go, default settings, no assists using a G25. I'm new to the car but I know the Indy layout well - 49.4

There's a lot left in it though.

Oh excellent. I was just being blind smile didnt see the settings in the bottom right hand corner.
Feels a lot better now, getting a lot more response from the wheel just about everywhere on track and no more unexpected oversteer or understeer unless i'm being a bit of an idiot.
Felt excellent at Snetterton 200 and Catalunya in a Formula Rookie car

Well you're obviously doing something right smile
Just had a go myself, G27 with the above tweeks, no assists, etc and I couldn't below 50.9

Although I must admit the Sierra feels like quite a handful and seemed to laugh at my pitiful attempts to keep it on track

beer

Cheers peeps. It's not too bad then as I did a 52. something after 3 or 4 laps and also just over 50 after a few more. You realise, however, that I now won't be happy until I can crack a sub 50 hehe

It's an old Logitech Driving Force Pro (no clutch pedal sadly) but has FFB and either a gearknob or paddles to shift.I must have got it for GTurismo on the PS3 as it has the GT logo in the middle of the wheel, but I hardly ever used it.I searched through the loft, found it, grabbed the driver and it works fine on the PC.I just wanted to be sure it was worth messing about with!

I will have a play with the settings now as one of the options was to weaken or strengthen the spring thingy (tech term) inside and it can make a hell of a difference to the feel of the game.

Well, the tweak files helped a bit but it's very inconsistent.
It's crashed 2 or 3 times, sometime just shutting down and once I got a sort of greying out on the windscreen but could see elsewhere.
The grass is like glue.
Some cars are way too slidey/floaty and some are way too easy to drive. I'm sure the BMW pro car should be a beast but apart from the ineffective brakes it feel quite benign.
Is damage working? I've got it switched on but I can stick it in a barrier and then carry on. Especially evident in the formula rookie.
The AI are idiots.
I can't get an online race, every single one I've tried to join has timed out.
How do I get out of karts in career mode? I've done two seasons now., won the 2nd but they want me to do another (tedious)
What are invites for? I got two when I won, I found them in the career section but clicking them does nothing.

I've had some fun with this but the pain is outweighing that at the moment, it doesn't feel finished.

Do the "grass is like glue" comments relate to specific tracks? On Brands Hatch at least, despite it being harder to control, you just keep going more or less as the speed you left the track at.It seems to act very much like it would in real life.

There is definitely an issue with the physics engine. It took me 5! laps to get all four tyres warm at Laguna on a sunny day in an R500. I've been to Laguna and tyres get warm just sitting in the paddock it's that hot.

Ignoring the engine and sound issues, I am warming to it though. It's just so damn lovely to look at, that you tend to forgive some of its foibles.

Could be. Certainly at Oulton park, the gravel traps and grass slow you down at an unnatural speed. That is in the Formula Rookie but the karts did it as well I seem to recall. I must admit I'm waiting for some patches to come out to stabalise the game before I go back to it so it may just be the lower career settings?

Certainly at Donington, Brands, Monza and Silverstone I've noticed this. Not tried that many other tracks.
I use the word glue as that's how it feels via the screen and wheel. It's like the wheels are having difficulty turning rather than spinning with no traction.
