I've seen some people say the handling for road cars is 'broken' and others say that's intentional. I'm not sure every road car is supposed to handle like a bag of spanners though. The Escort pulls to the right for me, every single race!

Does anyone know if the LE car park will be availble as DLC at some point in the future? I've just bought an Xbox to play this, I may get strung up by SWMBO if I spend £60+ on a game!
Yes, you can buy it separately now.
Does anyone know about the above? I can't find the DLC anywhere on the PSN Store, or anything online for any other formats?

After about a week of trying to find this game in the shops I relented and downloaded it last night. Don't like not having the actual disc tho.

Looking forward to playing it tonight after the shambles that was driveclub. Am I going to be disappointed?

Which Caterham are people having problems with? The Classic is very benign. The R500 is a bit of a handful (as you'd expect from a car with 500bhp per tonne) but you get used to it after a few hours. It's never a cake walk to drive as it requires concentration but certainly not the nightmare that people seem to be making out. Most of the race cars when on cold tyres are more of a handful tbh.

Oh and people do realise that a lot of the time, you need to wait for your tyres to heat up (go green) to get any kind of decent grip right?

Not sure if everyone knew, but you can race in any view you like.

Press Ctrl-K and then use a combo of keys on the numeric keypad and the D, A, W, Q, S & E keys to pretty much position it where you like.

A few examples I did here using the Atom at Brands.

The micromachines view kept on going higher and higher, so I got bored and just took a shot at that height. It's hard to race like it however as the camera keeps panning around.

And here is a short vid of me trying to stay on the track in the high view.. hehe

Well I have the game 7 days now and have put about 14 hours into it , so here,s my 2 cents. I have been playing racing games 25 years no real interest in any other game types , I think it could have been Out Run I started on way back when. I heard about PCars about 1 year ago and was really hoping that this was the "game" , the best racing game I have ever played but instead I got the hardest game I have ever played which I suppose is the same thing.
I am on the xbox using the pad it took me a good 5 hours just to get to grips with the game and started in the career mode with karts , very very frustrating but slowing came to terms with it. Am in the bigger cars now and am beginning to love this game , lots of tracks that I am having to learn. The bugs are spoiling it a bit .

Is the game all I was hoping for and living up to the hype well on the whole sadly no but its a truly great effort and in the next 25 years the "game" should be here but sadly I,ll be to old even to wipe my own backside never mind play it . So project cars gets a big thumbup

Came across another bug in which the 4th gear in my caterham just dissapeared, Would shift into 4th and it would instantly just bang off the limiter, It just dissapeared.

I think this game was made on planet klendathu with the amount of bugs it has.

P.s Caterhams such balls

Yeah I had that failure the other day in the Formula A - Ben Collins came on the radio and said that your gearbox has a fault. bd and I was in 2nd place gunning for the guy in front. smile

I seem to blow engines all the time, normally on the end straight when I am in the lead frown Not sure if its my driving thats doing it, most of the time I am short shifting to stop the back end breaking away.

defiantly wasnt a failure, Happened in qualy and the race. It was if the gear just disappeared.

It's a great game, its just plagued with bugs right now. I'm hopeful in a few patches it should be much better (I'm playing the Xbox one version).

I suffer horrible problems with tearing and a dramatic decrease in frame rate when there are a lot of cars in front. In addition I suffer the steering lock bug and sometimes my car never gets let out of the pits (maybe they've heard about my standard of driving hehe)

Still when it works, its a great game.

I'm tempted to buy the PC version to cure the FPS issues which are the only things that really affect me playing the game.

Another one. Qaulifying in the caterhams. Pole position taken by Ai with a laptime of 1:00:855.

15 seconds faster than the next AI. It is not physically possible to get that time. everyone else including me is between 1:14:5 and 1:16. Yet stephen spenceley is some kind of driving god who shaved 15 seconds off.

This seems to happen a lot.

The worst AI behavior is when they go off the track and continue to drive at the same speed with what appears the same levels of grip as the road and re-enter the track often haven gained an advantage. It does tickle me though when you see a car bouncing along over the grass at the same speed as me driving on the road hehe

The other oddities are cars driving around corners in rain as if its dry when you can only corner at like 30% slower and are sliding. In the dry sometimes the AI seems to be able to corner in the same car at a dramatically higher speed as well.

I still love the game though! smile

The slow one...! Not even attempted the R500 yet based on the way this one handles.

Put stability control on in order to get around a lap or two and the amount of times it kicked in was laughable

I had something similar in a race, I was 8 seconds up in the Ginettas and pitted as the rain started...rejoined in 7th, made no mistakes and got back upto second with no mistakes and pretty consistent lap times, only to see 1st place win by 15 seconds!
