Not sure if everyone knew, but you can race in any view you like.

Press Ctrl-K and then use a combo of keys on the numeric keypad and the D, A, W, Q, S & E keys to pretty much position it where you like.

A few examples I did here using the Atom at Brands.

The micromachines view kept on going higher and higher, so I got bored and just took a shot at that height. It's hard to race like it however as the camera keeps panning around.

And here is a short vid of me trying to stay on the track in the high view.. hehe

That's brilliant, thanks!

Dont suppose you know how to save the camera position for the next race? The game seems to forget.

It's good that you can set your own 'in car' camera position. Something I feel most games get really very wrong!

The slow one...! Not even attempted the R500 yet based on the way this one handles.

Put stability control on in order to get around a lap or two and the amount of times it kicked in was laughable
The trick is definitely not to fight it. Slow smooth inputs, when you feel it start to go,try not to over-correct. Just ease up on the throttle and slowly counter-steer. Once it clicks, you can drift them serenely round the corners almost at will and you'll wonder what all the fuss was about smile

I noticed the qualifying lap time thing.

When doing a Clio cup race, I did 1 decent lap and skipped to the end of the session. I got 2nd being 1 second in front of 3rd.
However the guy in first had nearly 6 seconds on me??

Didn't have the pace during the race though...

Another thing that's happened to me a couple of times is the AI thinking they can take the mandatory pitstop on the last lap.

So they cross the line in the pitlane while I'm thinking I've got an easy win.

The annoying thing about that one is that you can see it coming, as you cross the line to start the last lap you pass others in the pit expecting to be promoted to 1st.

Then it says you're still in 3rd... great, now I'm going to have to settle for a fixed result or somehow make up about 20 seconds in one lap.

Anyone know of a way to go into photo mode whilst watching replays? I find it pretty hard to pause the game to get a photo whilst doing a four wheel drift around the outside of the pack biggrin

I uploaded a video of a one lap GT3 race on the Nordschleife.

100% IA, no assists, using Thrustmaster T500RS.

4 climate states, rain + heavy fog (very cool), light rain, cloudy, light rain.

60x time progression starting at around 6pm (I'm not sure).

Thanks!

I think it looks good because of the rain and the fog, it makes it look more realistic than when it's sunny.

I'm in the middle of an upgrade. Now I'm using:

i3 3240
H61 motherboard
4GB DDR3 1333
HIS 7970 X

I have another HIS 7970 X, an MSI Z97, 8GB DDR3 1866, this week I'll buy the CPU (i5 4690k) to get everything running.

Is anyone else having problems with overheating tires?

I dont know if its just the way ive had to drive in project cars or the dodgy ps4 controls, But i seem to be overheating my tires in just about every car.
I try and slow down and smooth out my line but i always seem to end up with red rear left tire.

Thanks bud, I'm surprised it runs so well on the i3!

I've got a decent(ish) PC i7 3770k/16gb ram 1886/GTX 790/512gb SSD and wasn't sure how fast it would be.

I've been playing it on the Xbox One but the laggy graphics and tearing are driving me mad so I'm thinking of moving to the PC version.

Im on a similar setup, albeit with a 2gig 770 and it runs really well. Only struggles when you bump the rain and particle effects up to full and you're battling with a full grid.

(which obviously got me shopping for a better card ; )

So raced ginettas last night and towards the end it started raining, the definition of no grip was found! Then race 2 on lap 2 I pit it rains and I'm convinced they didn't fit rain tires! I span on every corner, I presume we have to tell them to fit rains?

My pit preferences are set for them to decide on the best tyres for the conditions, I think this is the default - you can override it but so far they seem to have it spot on. Bit worrying starting a wet race and not being 100% sure what tyres you have though.

Installed this yesterday and I'm loving it so far.

Not a huge fan of the kart or the superkart though, far too twitchy for my liking, I can't keep the sodding things in a straight line on the straights !!!!

I have this problem as well.

Anyone finding the 3hr F1 race to be really annoying? I can manage around 7 laps easily consistent around 0.2 seconds variance between the lap times and then suddenly I will just spin out with no warning on the first corner.
