I'm now playing it in 4k on a 48", 60hz 4:4:4 TV.If anyone was thinking of upgrading, trust me, it's worth it.Frame rates on my SLi 970's are still over 60 and even lower 2k and 1080p resolutions look superb on this set.
/Happy!
What make of TV have you got, I was thinking of upgrading to 4K but have read nightmare reports of movement/ input lag and speeds so totally put me off./Happy!

"The Panasonic AX802/ AX800 is a gamer’s dream, boasting not only the lowest input lag among the 2014 batch of 4K TVs (our Leo Bodnar tester registered a reading of 37ms with [Game Mode] enabled), but also full 4:4:4 chroma reproduction up to 3840×2160 resolution at 60Hz either through the DisplayPort or HDMI 4 input"
I have to say, in either of the top UHD 4k settings, or the lesser 2k settings, the camera spins around cars and characters etc very nicely indeed and driving something like Project Cars on my pad felt no different to my monitor. There are better response time 4K TV's to be had now probably, but this just ticked all the boxes for me as I got it from a local source and it was second hand.
There's certainly nothing there to put me off and I have a 120hz monitor with a much lower response time.I have mostly been using it with v-sync enabled and stuck at 60fps.

hi guys,
bought the game yesterday,i'm sorry to say but i am very disappointed in the game so far.
The career mode seems worthless, everything is unlocked, you can't even choose the car that you drive. Also, i don't know if im missing something but there are no ferrari/Lamborghini/GTR/LFA. There seems to be hardly any cars and it is really frustrating.
Also, i have it on PS4 and it is glitchy as hell! it flickers sometimes, a few times when i restarted it froze for 10 or so seconds and i thought it broke my PS4 as when i was driving it flickered then froze and caused an error on my PS4.

That paragraph would seem to indicate this might not be the game for you. It's made by a smaller independent company so if you've gone in blind and expected a Forza or Gran Turismo clone you WILL be disappointed. Admittedly it's buggy as hell but this game is about driving not car collecting.bought the game yesterday,i'm sorry to say but i am very disappointed in the game so far.

Xbox patch tomorrow http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/showthread.php?27...
I just can't get this working right on my PC, really disappointed.
Main problems as follows:
1. Every time I restart the game, it has forgotten my G27 wheel, so I have to set it up and calibrate it all over again.
2. Every time I change a minor setting, the game makes me restart. To add insult to injury, some of the changes aren't made anyway.
3. Turning corners is difficult because the game becomes so jerky it is hard to tell where you are going.
4. Jaggy lines everywhere on the cars and courses.
I wish I had saved the money and just gone for the PS4 version so far

I've been quiet on the gaming scene since GT5 and now back on the ps4 with Project Cars.
This has potential to be a better racing simulation that GT5/6. Its not without its faults though. A couple of things i have noticed :
Stutters/frame skips online - causes momentary loss of control and spinning out.
Online lobbys dont seem to work reliably unless you are handed the host status from an existing lobby.
Even then you are limit to the class of car you inherit.
No-one seems to do much in the way of historic openwheel or old touring cars.
No way of telling if the lobby is fixed car or you can pick in the class
when you back out it takes you to the main screen - it should go back to lobby
But i still love the game.
Add me if you are on ps4 - J-Tuner
Cheers
Steve

Hi mate, i might be able to help. What are your system specs? Which directory/root do you have the game installed on?Main problems as follows:

System is an I7 4790 processor with a GTX970 GPU with 16GB RAM. Comment seem to suggest that this game runs well on a lot lesser specs than this. I'll have to check where it is installed, I just let Steam do it's thing. If you prefer, head over to the official forums as the community is very supportive there.

I'm running it on an overclocked i5-570 with 4mb ram and an overclocked Geforce GTX660, G27 wheel. At a resolution of 2048x1152 at 60hz (I think) and it runs flawlessly. Only things I turned off were the grass and motion blur. Before I did that it stuttered and kept crashing/doing weird stuff.Does seem weird, I am running an old i7 2600 with a older gtx Titan and 16mb and don't have any of those problems. Firstly you should get the nvidia experience app and run the optimisation for pCars to see if that helps, then turn off grass (its n fps killer) and maybe reduce reflections and shadows, mine is running really well now.
The g27 thing is very weird, I have a g25 and it has beensucha gooeice of kit with games It can't be due to the hardware, have you got the latest firmware for it and the Logitech profiler?

First thing i would do is go in to my documents and find the folder for project cars - this is where it stores all the settings. Delete it. It will make a fresh folder when you next run it. Then configure from there.
I have an old 1090t with 8gb and a r9 290 and have no problems running 1080p ultra. Your machine should belt this game.
edit to add, you may need to enable an option to see hidden folders. Sorry i'm not at my home computer so cant give more specific instructions.
Also check if the game is running in dx9 or dx11 mode. My computer hates pcars in DX9.
