Ive been in the Pcars beta for quite a long time now and have also witnessed its ups and downs.. Game has a progressed very well over the development time and i can assure you all, this will be the best Racing sim along side AC.. My preference has always been Pcars tho Have used Pcars in several cases before going on tracks in my GTR for the first time and really helps familiarize the track etc etc..
Anyway up until recently i havnt had a powerful enough PC to run everything maxxed out.. So now i have built a new PC from my workshop so that i can get ready for all the games of 2015..
PC 1 : CPU: Intel Haswell Core i7-5960X 3.0Ghz | GPU: Radeon R9 295x2 | MOBO: MSI X99s gaming 9 ac | RAM: Corsair Dominator 32GB DDR4 | OS: Win 8.1 64 bit | Monitor: BENQ - N-vision 3D 144hz | Kingston Hyper X dual 500GB SSD | Astro A50 7.1 Surround Sound Headphones
First thing i did was install Project Cars, set everything on Max settings, added an FXAA Injector and DX11 sweetfx Injector with the photo-realism preset, set resolution to 2K, overclocked my GPU+CPU and game looks absolutely stunning !!! Handling in the latest build has also been seriously improved
Anyway, here are some screenshots i took last night of the P1 on Spa

I've pre ordered this on PC.
Having already paid for the game I didn't feel to guilty trawling around the internet for a copy of one of the beta builds that is out there.
I'm using build 829 or something which was current towards the end of 2014 and is clearly still in development, menu's incomplete and a few minor issues.
I've played most of the cars on a few of the circuits, and have to say I am really impressed. I use an older Logitech G25 wheel and pedals and the game looks and plays great, the difference in feel from the different cars is really apparent. I almost feel like I know what a 12C handles like.
Will up load a vid as soon as I figure out how.
Cant wait to get the full legit version on 20th March.

I know project cars will wipe the floor wuth it handling and feel wise but since playing drive club the last few days I must say its so beatiful to look at, so much that the above screenshots didnt really impress me now that much!
Mind you its about how it feels to play which is more important, which brings me to my next question:
Will project cars feel the same to play on PC and on ps4 assuming you have both got the same wheel (thrustmaster t300 rs)?

More from BETA tester: if you want pure racing, then this is your game on consoles at the very least... you wont see any custom paint scheme screens, but you'll see screens to change brake balance or select the tires you want ... And you wont be buying parts either, the game has no currency system, tuning is not going to happen other then setting up your car to be balanced on the track.
and you won't see any silly animation getting into your car, nice as they were in drive club but you will see pit crew scrambling to fuel and put new tires on your car , and you want be drifting around the track, unless your drifting as you've got a corner wrong and need opposite lock to correct your mistake lol ....
but you will spend time chasing down lap times, or if you qualified poorly chasing down the front runners...
as I said, it's no drive club, but then it's going for a different type of racer, I just hope it gets a good audience and good support once released..

And on the topic of AI : Well the ai for project cars up till around September last year was very poor, but it's since been worked on and the game st the moment uses a sliding scale with 0 % being a walk in the park, and 100% you need to race clean lines, and every second counts.
On the track, with a gamepad with the scale set to 60% for me , starting at the back in a 16 car race, at Silverstone gp track, I have Not once pushed my way to first ever, and in a 5 lap Sprint race at my skill level I wouldn't have won the race using equal cars. But I'd have worked my way up to around 5 or 3 position... At 70% ai scale, I'd have to qualify first to mix it mix it with the rent runners and keeping up means clean racing. At 80% or more I'd struggle with my skill with a gamepad.
The ai are also quite aware of where you are, they don't bash you or drive into you unless you get tangled up going for the same apex on a corner and neither of you leave room..
Cleaner you drive, less chance of crashing into ai.

We run at 60fps. DriveClub runs at 30. I dread to think what we'd do with all that extra processing power to throw at the graphics...Comparison video, showing why it matters, here

Yep, all versions run on the same underlying physics. I don't see any reason why they'd feel any different. Will project cars feel the same to play on PC and on ps4 assuming you have both got the same wheel (thrustmaster t300 rs)?
