The preview doesn't sound great but the criticism about the bland environments sounds like somebody who wants arcade style sfx with helicopters swooping down and rock festival style crowd animations. I hated that kind of thing in the Shift games and I'm glad it seems it wont be featuring in this.

I think it backs up what I said a few pages back, it looks like it's falling into a sort of no-mans land between the hardcore sim racers and the arcade racers and is not really going to work for either group.
We shall see.
I'm hoping Project CARS will take the place of GT6 in my collection, I'll probably be sticking to Driveclub for "quick fixes" of fun. We shall see.
Sounds like the reviewer had a bad day and then sat down to play a game. Sounds like a bit of a rant to me. Its not the final copy so who knows what he is poling. He is also benchmarking the game against titles like Forza 5 which IMHO have totally lost their way and in an attempt to make the game accessible to everyone have essentially ruined it as a driving game.
I am on the fence but then I am on the fence with all current gen titles as they promise a lot and are ultimately very disappointing.

How many are intending on getting this game on PS4? Those that are, are you intending to use a steering wheel, and if so, which one?
I have the Thrustmaster T300RS on order from Amazon, but it has been out of stock since before Christmas. Does anyone know whether there are any problems with the manufacture or distribution of these steering wheels?
I cannot stand playing racing games with the normal controller, so I am going to be a bit stuck if the game comes out before the steering wheel arrives.
Cheers,
Steve

I want it badly for the PS4 as I am sad without a proper racing game. Although I dont really want it without a steering wheel as I cannot justify the dosh for the T300RS - Id be happy if I could have just used my Driving Force GT....I have the Thrustmaster T300RS on order from Amazon, but it has been out of stock since before Christmas. A rather more favourable preview here (though I have no idea who "International Business Times" are, this is the first I have heard of them):

The T300RS is around £250 from Amazon, perhaps that makes it a bit more affordable? If only they had them in stock...bass2rez said:
