Does anyone know of any goods places to pre-order? I never usually do!

Any point in pre-ordering? Do you get any in-game goodies?

Delayed until 2 April now, at least it's not too much longer to wait!

Someone needs to do a PS4 game + steering wheel bundle that doesn't cost the earth, maybe £100 or so ?

The Thrustmaster T300 that someone mentioned is all well and good, but it costs as much as a PS4, which is frankly bonkers.

Um, yeah... sorry.

No-one wants to see this thing on a shelf more than I do. Gutted that that's going to be a little bit later than we thought.

Appreciate the lack of angry backlash, though.

Or maybe just support the wheels lots of us already have. (That's directed at Sony, not the Devs) I still have no reason/excuse to buy a PS4.

I would rather it be delayed than we get a game that isn't finished and we lose interest straight away because of problems

Unfortunately I don't think its gonna happen. Logitech have baled out of the market and it seems Thrustmaster have paid Sony for exclusive rights, the guy who owns/runs Fanatec wheels has seemingly got nowhere with Sony.

My (now useless) DFGT cost £50 and by all accounts is a better wheel than Thrustmaster sell for £100. If you want to get a better product its instantly £270 or so. The least Sony could do is make sure there is a half decent product available to buy.

The whole situation stinks.

For those still umming and arrring whether to buy a Thrustmaster T300Rs all I can say is do it, you won't disappointed.

It has transformed Driveclub for me as its now like a different game!

Well worth the money it feels amazing!
Do you have a wheel stand you use with it? If so which one do you recommend?
I have my wheel clamped to my desk in my office - i use the PC monitor as a screen and audio is coming through my headphones via the controller jack plug.

I will buy this box of trick soon to split the audion from the hdmi so I can hook it up to my decent studio speakers.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IMGJ5D2/ref=...

At the moment the clamp isn't quite grabbing my desk correctly, its a glass desk and the clamp is on a metal bar which sits underneath the glass so i need to build a little bit of wood to sit each side of the metal bar so it has a better grip so to speak.

In the future though (when I've saved me pennies) I'd love to get a playseat but the wife might be a bit unhappy about that.

The Thrustmaster T300 RS is not cheap, but my god when you play Drive club with it, its amazing, so I can only imagine its going to be even more so with Project Cars!

Being throwing around a BMW M4 around a track just and you feel like the stig when using the wheel - so much fun.

Save up or give up something to justify it - make sandwiches for work instead of giving the money to the colnel or Ronald!

You wont regret it!

Gutted that Project cars has been delayed - I hope its so they can include the new FOCUS RS though!

First game to market with that car and they will have masses of people wanting to buy it!!

I'm considering a Wheelstand Pro as it's perfect for my space / setup requirements, I'd just need to decide on the right wheel..

Does anyone know where to buy those Porsche wheels that Wheelstand have mounted to them? What brand are they?
Sounds like Fanatec, they do a lot of Porsche wheels.

It certainly does, I feel sorry for the customers who forked out for expensive wheel packages to then be left in the lurch.

Thank goodness for PC, best version of the game and use any wheel you like, just lacks the player base of consoles unfortunately.

Serious question, and this isn't a stab, I'm just curious..

Do you really see the benefit of a good wheel on a game like DriveClub?

DC is terrible, IMO, that aside I can't see how much of an improvement any wheel would make on an arcade game with arcade physics..

Hi Smithyithy

Mate Driveclub is really good with the wheel, if you take a Caterham around a track with it, its really good fun.

You can do a 'Scandinavian flick' to get the arse end out as you approach the corner and drift round, power sliding it on the throttle.

You can drive the car on the throttle too as when you lift off the nose tucks in, the physics aren't that bad I think.

If you are playing Drive club with just the controller then I can understand how you feel, but with a wheel its night and day!

I took 2 seconds off my previous best lap with controller (practiced for a good few hours) with the wheel on my first attempt!

I used to play Drive club for an hour (if that and get a bit bored) now I want to stay on it all night hot lapping as its so much fun!

When I first used it with the wheel I didn't have it in the 'Drive Club Experience" setting, it was just in the novice setting where its assisted and I thought to myself - what have I done, I have just spend £237 on a Wheel its its a bit meh!

When I changed the setting the game came alive and I was shouting out things like "Oh my god, its amazing!"

Best birthday present I've ever had!

I think Driveclub is evolving into quite a good game now with all the updates and additional tracks/cars been added.

Well me being me i never read instuctions or manuals, I had a job getting decent FFB on my old logitech MOMO, Being off work today i spent a bit of time on the WMD forum and found out that as well as setting up FFB in the controllers section you can adjust loads more in the car set up! Well what can i say, The game has come alive and on Pro settings it certainly isnt arcadey to me. Driving the P20 LMP2 around the ring i was punished for powering off a kerb and also for clipping the kerb mid apex, Ended up actually blowing the engine due to deliberate abuse to see what would happen, Ive never felt so much going on through a wheel, Its quite amazing actually especially as my wheel is seriously low end (It must feel unbelievable on a Fanetic or similar) Also i bogged down off the start line and had to dip the clutch and boot it, So realistic. Dont make the mistake of maxing all the graphics out on the PC version, Ive got an AMD FX8120, 8 gig of ram and a 2 gig Radeon 7800, Most settings are high except detailed grass which is low as its a bit of a FPS killer, At these settings it looks great to me. At last i can give this sim the time it deserves. Right i'm off to learn the Le mans circuit and have some 24hr action!

Fair enough, thanks for explaining.

Perhaps if I get a wheel setup I'll pick up Driveclub again second hand and see if it's different. I wanted to like the game to be fair, but the launch was really poor and that left a bitter taste when I finally got a game I'd been looking forward to so much..

Where is this setting, I only played for about a hour and was really unimpressed, I'd like to find this "make the game better " setting. Thanks because with how pretty the game is I really want to enjoy it.
