Pushed back again?

Just got an e-mail from amazon saying 2nd of April now.
Likewise. Pissed off!! Get back from a month long trip on the 20th. So had planned a full weekend of project Cars and trying to recover from my jet lag...

Give it another week and it will be put back another month or something. Dont get me wrong Id like the game to be right, but it pisses me off how people cant meet deadlines (that they set themselves!!!) as I cant get away with it in my business...

I dont know why everyone is getting so excited about this, the more I see it the more you can tell the physics look shocking, unless all the assists are on in every video the physics look akin to outrun.

For those that are apparently upset and pissed off at a video game being delayed by two weeks........PHers and their first world problems eh!

Just preordered the Limited Edition for PS4 from Game.

Now I also want Dying Light, The Order: 1886 and Bloodborne, but spending around £230 on games seems a bit much eek

Powerful RWD cars that need throttle modulation and opposite lock (especially when it starts raining and the track get progressively wetter). Sounds like a PH dream!

For me the key thing about sim racers is to feel believable, - titles like iRacing, Assetto Corsa and rFactor2 do a pretty good job whereas GT, NFS etc. don't. pCARS does.

People shouldn't get hung up on the Shift! series, pCARS is not a rehash of Shift! any more than iRacing is a few lines of code changed from NR2003 as some suggest.

Where did you get the limited edition pre order from fella? Had been told by several Game stores and the website they had sold their allocation! Come to accept I'll just have to play longer to make up for not having the limited edition dlc biggrin

Game's website bud, my order went through fine so I'll be having some strong words with them if it turns out they've sold out!

Hope it's okay though, I really want those cars, especially the F1, Cinque and RUF - although they'll probably be available as DLC later..

Good man thanks for that, put my name down for one of those but kept the Amazon order open for the time being... The thought of spanking that M1 Pro Car around the Nordschleife cloud9

Tell me about it - I feel somewhat childish being upset about a game release. But been waiting for a proper "Racing" game for aaaages. Waiting a year for Driveclub to surface annoyed me, dont want a repeat of that....

When I first used it with the wheel I didn't have it in the 'Drive Club Experience" setting, it was just in the novice setting where its assisted and I thought to myself - what have I done, I have just spend £237 on a Wheel its its a bit meh!

When I changed the setting the game came alive and I was shouting out things like "Oh my god, its amazing!"
Where is this setting, I only played for about a hour and was really unimpressed, I'd like to find this "make the game better " setting. Thanks because with how pretty the game is I really want to enjoy it.
On the steering wheel settings menu you have the following.

1. Amount of force feedback 0-100%
2. Amount if assistance novice or Driveclub experience
3. Amount of ?

Can't remember the third one, my son is playing Fifa at the moment so when I can load drive club to check I'll update this post.

Update.....

Here we go Driveclub Review Menu Options Commentary NEW PS4: http://youtu.be/D3dSPnxPmnE
Look at 53 seconds in.

When you turn wheel assist off its then in the Good setting :0)

I thought it was originally pushed back to March to 'avoid competition'?

Nice to see their customers are being treated like adults, or not.

To be honest I've seen so many promo videos of this game and I don't understand why this makes it so good, they have nothing to do with the actual game play.

I still think its pointless playing without a wheel.

With the limited edition at game, does this mean you get the cars from the start but anyone can unlock them while playing the game, or does it mean only they will be available with the limited edition. I don't want to pay the extra for something I can unlock later with a little effort.

I do hope logitech wheels work soon after release. If this game drives like they think it will be great with a wheel, i just don't want to sell my current wheel to find out

Logitech wheels aren't ever going to work on a PS4.

I was under the impression that all cars are unlocked / available from the get go - as in, unlike Forza or GT there is no currency system so you can pick and drive any of the games cars as soon as you start the game.

The difference with the Ltd Ed is those bonus cars are ONLY available in that version, so for example, if you buy the regular version of the game you won't get a McLaren F1, at all.

Whether they'll give players the option to purchase these bonus cars separately (with real money on XBL / PSN etc) I don't know..
