Yes I know that I was responding to Craftys comment about cheap/good wheel problem. No reason to buy a Fanatec if you can only afford a G27. Still a great wheel.
I have a logitech DFGT that works just fine and was only £50.Problem is no Logitech wheels work on PS4 and they aren't ever likely to.
If you want a wheel the only choices are a crappy one from thrustmaster for about £100, a half decent one from thrustmaster for £300 or now, one of the fanatecs which are either discontinued or a few hundred quid at least.
Not blaming the pcars team, but the steering wheel support for ps4 is a joke imho.

Ah apologies, didn't know the logitech didnt work with PS4. Is there a reason for this?
Logitech got out of the steering wheel market and the G27 is quite a few years old at this point. You can't expect peripherals to be supported indefinitely, especially when the people making them have decided not to bother any more.I remember before the PS4 launch when Sony said all PS3 hardware will work with PS4, which was huge as Microsoft had just announced that games were locked to the console and must be online at all times. It felt like Sony were on the consumers' side. But obviously that never materialised. I'm glad my PC can run this game so I can use my Logitech Driving Force GT.

I played with a Logitech Joypad on Live for Speed for years, I didn't have room for a wheel. Then I bought a race seat with the platform to bolt a wheel on and got a DFGT as it was a reasonably priced starter wheel. It was a huge leap forward in my enjoyment of racing/gaming with the added bonus it worked on PC and PS3 so I got my GT fix with it too. Within 3 months Game offered the G27 with a 50% discount and I thought, clutch/shifter? got to be fun. I noticed a big difference in the FFB and build quality. I guess the thing with wheels is that just as with real cars on track, the more you spend the better the kit, and potentially you buy yourself a speed advantage, you definitely get FFB improvements. I would really like a Thrustmaster T500rs wheel and have heard how good they are, but I need to save up for that. It boils down to how much you can afford or are prepared to pay. Logitech have retired from the gaming peripherals market so they are highly unlikely to pay the fees required to get connected to PS4, so I have no plans to upgrade from my PS3. My future gaming will be on PC but that's ok I can plug and play to improve bit by bit that way, and all the more technically advanced games will be on PC anyway, I can play Forza on my son's XBox if I ever feel the urge.
I got this from gtplanet. I thought you may all want a read, it's made me more excited. http://en.pcars.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Physics
