I cant get comfy on the sofa and I am used to a proper set up in the old house (where I had a 120inch screen, proper seat etc.) The Beanbag arrived today and its decent, had a play around and I could get very comfy and in a perfect sports car position... The T300RS is being delivered shortly, might have to fire up Driveclub tonight!!
thinking about buying one of the Beanbags that you posted, are they good quality, worth buying?
Yes mate I am fairly impressed for the dollar. The synthetic leather seems fairly durable. With a bit of shaping you can get it very comfy and the positions are endless. I just sat on it for 2hrs playing driveclub and it was perfect.

For the cash I don't think you can go wrong. Delivery was via yodel....

Pretty sure Thrustmaster only supply 2 pedals with their wheels, the pedal box with clutch is extra, along with gear shifter. A full set up must be somewhere near £800!
I own the T500RS, which comes with 3 pedals. With the shifter it ends up at £490.

I have a t300rs, t3pa-pro (t500rs pedals really), th8a and a playseat challenge and all cost around 600 all in. Not bad for the money I'd say.

Thrustmaster had a deal on that if you purchased direct they would swap the pedals to the t3pa pedals and give you £80 back

Really? I got the t3pa pro pedals direct from them too. Oh well, I've been buying the stuff bit by bit since Nov all in anticipation of pCARS.

Here is a quick video of the set-up on gt6, I'm not particularly good however.

You're going to want a wheelstand pro too, it will make the whole experience much better.

I asked in the ps4 thread about wheels, but there seems to be a good knowledge of wheels here.

I can get a playseat with a t300 rs for £499 or with a t500 rs for £550.

I'll be using it on ps4 only. Is the 500 worth the extra £50 over the 300?

Here's the link as well - http://www.playseat.com/shop/eu/uk/playseat-thrust...

I don't know about the t500rs but I use a playseat challenge that's in the vid I posted with a t300rs and it hat has no centre post which I think is the best way. I've used it for over 4h stints with no problems. The t500rs has much much better pedals and if you get a gte rim you can have moving paddle shifters too. Hope this post makes sense ☺

Hi, I know this will have been discussed before but with the game been so near people must have played the final copy so my question is how much of a simulation is it? If you say forza is maybe 45% sim would project cars be maybe 70% sim?

Just tried this in the local Game - Radical SR8 on a soaking silverstone. Was pleasantly suprised that grip seemed to be greatly reduced in the wet, though you could still run onto curbs without any grip loss compared to the tarmac, which is outright wrong, and the 'pendulum effect' steering that i found plagued Need for speed shift and shift 2 was still evident (though greatly reduced) though obviously i didn't have a chance to change all the settings to try and counter act this.

Seems the current deal is £40 off buying shifter and pedals together. And currently a 2nd hand shifter is being sold direct for half price.

It depends on settings, the way they have approached it is to make it as much of a sim as possible then add aids (not the bad kind) to enable people to still have fun without constantly putting it in to a wall. If you turn everything off and drive too fast, you are going to end up in a wall or the sandbox, you might also find that your car doesn't then drive in a straight line.

But you need a benchmark with these sorts of things, if Forza is 45% then Pcars is up there around 80%, rfactor2 is probably more of a simulation though in the PC sector.

This is based on the PC version that I have though, I don't know how it will translate to consoles as I haven't played them. If you are undecided, I would wait until the console version is out at the end of the week and listen to some opinions on here.

I do think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I am asking about that on the forums, personally I don't think it is true, based upon how st that site is and in general that SMS do not talk about the technical aspects of the game outside of the private forum.

ive seen some people streaming project cars on ps4 (lucky buggers got it early) and it ran fine so i think its BS also i doubt 1) the ps4 copy would look worse with the better graphics card and 2) SMS would let it go gold with a serious issue like that
