Casting aside the questions I should be asking like 'Why the *** would I want to buy this?'

...my actual question is, would my laptop be powerful enough to actually run it?

Specs:
15.5" screen
4GB RAM
300GB HD
2.3Ghz i5 processor
It runs fine on my Opteron (it's quite old) with 2 GB RAM.

Liking it so far!

Just saved up 100k doing jobs for other people and bought my first truck, a 'Volvo' for the simple reason that it had the most HP (600 compared to most others in the same price bracket - iro 320). Also added a mod to remove the 56mph speed limit so not technically a 'sim' but sometimes it's more fun steaming down the outside lane of the M62 at 75 (85 w/o a trailer)!

Plan is save some more, tune up the Volvo then start adding to the fleet with some more trucks and drivers.

My friend persuaded me to get this yesterday. It's like crack; listening to Czech country radio whilst taking pressure vessels from wroclaw to praha is strangely therapeutic. Until I have to park the damn thing.
Although slinging the truck up the inside of another on a hairpin was fub, until I rolled it.

I've been playing this for a while.

Some of the game mods are good. http://ets2-mods.com/euro-truck-simulator2-mods

I currently have 12 Garages across Europe with 3 Trucks/Drivers in each. Although i'm disappointed i haven't seen any of them out on the road.

I've been playing it too, but getting really annoyed at the fact every truck now seems to have such bad fuel economy I can't pass a petrol station without filling it up. You can easily it seems end up in a position where you get recovered and then can't make it to refill... and I don't think that's right frown

Suspect I've done something to break the game, perhaps one of the mods is doing it.

Otherwise it's great to play! Doing a long distance trip from somewhere in Europe, across the tunnel and driving up to Aberdeen is fantastic.

I asked her if she would consent to having her picture posted on PH and she said ( and I paraphrase ) "no"

She may be aware of the nature of this site.

The lighting effects are pretty good as well, which is a surprise:

Are you guys using keyboard controls?
I have two wheels already (one for Xbox360, the other for PS3) I don't really want to buy another.
