As per my previous post: I have a spare wired one, can that plug straight into laptop?

Edit...don't worry I found it. http://www.alteredgamer.com/xbox-gear/11612-using-...

Yeah a 360 pad goes straight in and works fine. Been using one for years, in effect I have a 360 which is about 6 generations ahead of the real one biggrin
I find the analogue sticks useful for driving sims or flying helicopters.

I have just installed and calibrated the spare wired pad on the new lappy....very pleased as I hardly use the wheels for console gaming as they are a PITA to set-up and put away each time (hence didn't want to buy another for PC).

Will pick up Euro Truck Sim2 over the weekend, I assume currys sell it.

Cheers all.

I'd get it off steam personally.

My rural internet is too slow to download it, it'd take all weekend.

This sounds mega geeky but from what you lot at saying, it sounds more like a logistics tycoon.

May just get it from Steam smile

Right, well I downloaded this game of the back of this thread an I'm rather enjoying it biggrin

Surprisingly.

Although, I'm not very good, it's more like grand theft auto at the moment. smile

Have you done this in the standard game or is it a mod? Same for the engine, is that a standard upgrade??

Does the 14 speed make any difference to the gearing, at the moment 1st through to 7th are pretty much useless!

It's all mods. I think it's this http://www.ets2-mod.com/euro-truck-simulator-2-mod.... The gearbox doesn't seem to make any difference TBH.

I acquired it a few months back to see what the fuss was about. Harder than I thought and the speed of the trucks is annoying. A mod sorts that so is better. Found my Driving Force GT wheel for GT5 works. Paddles work too and transformed the game. Very relaxing and is a challenge to avoid the muppets who slam on in front for now reason. just like real life biggrin

Why did I buy it?! I should have just downloaded it. irked

Postman Pat has still not delivered it, and I am anxious to try it out. I think next pay day will mean me buying a cheap wheel though. Looks like an amazing game.. yes

I bought my first DAF last night. Couldn't afford to repaint it but I don't care it's mine, I'm so sadly proud of myself. Got it a bigger engine because it was really struggling out of quarries with 21tonne pressure vessels.

The Volvos are good value wrt to power, as the entry level engine has 600 bhp. If you remove all the extras like sun visor, some side mirror and keep it on the blue paint it comes at 96k EUR.

(I need to get out more)
