Whats the best steps for me to get started? Ive got a office in Dover, only done a few runs so far.

Get a loan, a truck and a driver? or save up and buy it outright?

Suggestions please! smile

I drove for other people, saved money, put all skill points on long distance (eco driving doesn't matter if you're driving for others) and then buy a garage and go from there. I didn't buy my own truck until I had two full garaged and 10 drivers.

Ok, and looking back do you think that worked well? starting again, what would you do differently?

It's done pretty well. I think the only thing I would do differently would be to have my first garage in Europe rather than the UK

I drove for other people until i could afford my first truck, Put my Skill points onto the hazardous & fragile loads. set the jobs filter to highest paid per mile. Saved a bit of a slush fund, then borrowed the $400,000 to buy a second garage and a pair of trucks and drivers. paid it off ASAP and borrowed more.

Do you earn that much more driving your own kit?? Currently earning about 10-13k per trip driving other peoples trucks, if it's lots more I might keep the next truck I buy.

Right, I now have permission from the OH to spend tonight playing the full game!! Woop woop!

However, I must first come home, cook her dinner, and let her watch last nights Towie before I can plug in! Eeek, I guess some sacrifices must be made biggrin

About to get on the ferry in Calais:

Tight fit!

Coming out of the ferry, nice views of the cliffs:

I did the opposite to everybody, got my own truck as soon as possible, spend as much money as I could doing it up, but I now have a couple of drivers working for me in basic trucks. For me it's all about driving a cool truck around, as long as I break even I'm happy!

Is it possible to use a PS3 controller using the USB lead, and if so how do I do it?
Yes , you need to download a small program called DS3 tool. This will then let your pc recognise your ps3 controller. If you purchase a bluetooth dongle(got mine for about £5 delivered) you can play wirelessly as well.

Click the above link to download the program I'm talking about.

Well, I throughly enjoyed last night. Started afresh from the demo ones, did some nice long distance driving, saved up 100k, then went and got the most economical truck I could, not the fastest, and employed a driver. Took a 100k loan out to get the garage sorted, now its saving harder to get to level 10, so I can get a big daddy Scania. Then ill be happy, and employ some more drivers. In profit already!

Yes you do! if you have the time to play (and PC spec) it is worth it.

Did you ever play ETS1?
