Finished the demo. Do I buy..?
Yes you do! if you have the time to play (and PC spec) it is worth it.

Did you ever play ETS1?
I'm getting 80+ fps on ultra settings so it's not the spec I have to worry about. Just time really. I play lots of Arma2 and the alpha for Arma3 is just about to go live.

Any tips on getting the G27 set up correctly?

I only seem to use 90 degrees of lock and it's way to sensitive when belting down a motorway. Can't see any options in game, do I need to use the Logitech profiler?
I use the logitech profiler but had the same problem with my Logitech DFGT. Exit the game, install profiler, then in that, then goto options and global device settings - the degrees of rotation was low on mine, 200 I think, now running much better around 350.

Is it a case of signing up for the Alpha?

Yeah - I started a thread about it a few days ago in this section.

This one wasn't my fault either, frustrating when the job expires soon.

I've recently downloaded this, and have to say it's far more fun than it really should be. My question is, with skins to replace the in game company trailers with real ones, is it only one per company or can you have more than 1 and i9t's pot luck what you get?

Enjoying this game far too much, played yesterday morning when the OH was at work. Doing ok, no loans, 2 trucks with two drivers, both all kitted out with lights etc, and Im driving for other firms to build up extra cash. Almost at truck no.3 now, the garage is a 5 bay, so shouldnt be an issue!!

How sad that Im planning ahead in a game.

One gripe, got the xbox 360 wireless controller set up, however, doesnt appear I can assign the buttons to do cruise, indicators, trailer drop, etc. I can look, and use the shoulder ones for throttle etc, but cant use the buttons. Anyone know a way round this?

What planning/tactics are you all using?

I've got a base in london with 1 driver and a base in bern with 3 drivers, i've got 2 trucks but not sure if i'm hiring a driver with nothing for him to drive!

Spending most my time doing long distance runs, the traffic jams for the toll roads still catch me out.

I'm based in London too, tbh I wish I'd based myself on mainland Europe now tbh.

If you go into the keyboard setup screen, it lists all the functions and their assigned buttons. Click on one you want to change, and press a button on your controller. It should update to use the controller instead then smile Took me a few minutes to work that out!

I have a 5 bay garage in Duisberg with 4 drivers + me and 5 trucks. Have 200k sitting in my bank so tempted to open another garage somewhere else, maybe Calais? Also if I have 4 drivers all doing long haul out of my one garage, is there going to be a shortage of jobs?

For people thinking of opening different garages, bear in mind your drivers can uses the ones they are not assigned to. This helps them get different jobs if required:

With one garage, the driver goes from A to B, then needs to find a load back to A. If you have several garages however, he can find loads to those instead, before getting back to A eventually.

For that reason, it's worth getting them spread out to limit the number of empty return loads.

For the controller, I have:
Bumpers: Indicators
Hat up: Lights
Hat down: Wipers
Hat left: Horn
Hat right: Cruise
Left stick up: Flash
Push left stick: High Beam
Back: Action
Start: Hook/unhook trailer
A: Gear down/reverse
B: Gear up
X: Satnav
Y: Job details
Push right stick: Center camera

I wish I had more buttons, I need one for the damage level and one for stopping the engine.
