Euro Truck Simulator 2

What's the process for hiring new drivers? Do I have to buy another truck first, hire someone and then assign them to the new truck?
I was thinking of giving my first employee my fully tuned 700hp Volvo so I can buy something else and tune that up. I've noticed when you go to a truck dealer the price takes into account trading in your existing truck which I obviously don't want to do.

Have a search for Stockoglaws on youtube...
I have, and also someone called Keralis - those videos sparked my interest and finally made me order one. There is also a video from NerdGamer (I think) where his driving isn't great but he is really funny. It is an hour and a half but well worth a watch. I've had this a week or two now and I'm really enjoying it. I do like a good simulator and its a nice addition to the flight and train sims I have already.
Started out with a DAF that I did a load of jobs with before upgrading my garage and taking on 'Lucy' as an employee. Sadly she's not the most productive of drivers generally only bringing in several hundred Euros per job. Hopefully she'll get better as at the moment she's just about covering the fuel I use on my long haul trips.
When I took her on she got my old DAF and I got myself a Volvo Globetrotter with a big 700bhp engine in. That thing flies now and I've found myself becoming very impatient on the roads and practically racing around, overtaking on blind corners and barrelling across junctions praying nobody is coming.
I've had a few Woooaahh! moments in that thing, the main one being me not paying attention to the road ahead, looking up and seeing a queue of traffic stopped in the road for some reason, and me moving to overtake them. It was only as I was halfway along the queue that I realised they had stopped for a crossroads. I went flying across the junction only for some poor driver to smash into the side of my trailer at 50mph. Poor sod.

I Have been using loan trucks so far building up a good few CRs.
Graphics are decent, got the lappy hdmi'd into the tv, using the xbox controler but might dig the wheel out later (shame it's a faf setting it up and putting away each time).
Really enjoying the long distance runs, loving the realism over console games tbh
Baaaarp baaaarp...keep on trucking.
