Had a bit of an incident:

Had to abandon the job. I was somewhat pissed that another driver came along to take my cargo and left my cab parked on top of the Transit

I've had this situ before. A simple way of getting around this type of crash without abandoning the job is to close the game down and restarting it. The game will auto save where you are and on starting the game again all cars will be gone. Bingo

Hope that helps?

Handy to know! I dug it back out on Saturday evening. Thought it would be fun to play it again. Did a few hours, hooked again!! Working for a new garage, but keep buying bloody upgrades for my FH16!

Another alternative way of rescuing from a crash is to esc from the game and click on load game. Click the box to show autosaves and you will almost certainl find one or more autosaves from a few minutes before you crashed and one at the last significant point, say when you accepted the job at the departure site.

I used this method the other day when I judged that the junction I was approaching was one with two lanes straight on, just as the previous two junctions had been. Didn't look at the signs properly. Of course there was only one lane occupied by an overtaking bus to my left. So tried at full speed to go down the off slip, across the cross roads and back up the on slip. An artic appeared from under the bridge and shall we say it didn't end well.

Cheers for the tips.

That van actually rolled a number of times before we came to rest like that.

If you put that map mod in with all the new cities and so on including Tunisia do you retain your existing garages? Assuming it's the mod I found on Google.

I came in to post asking if anyone was using TSM smile I've seen it on DaSquirrelsNuts' channel and thought it looked worth trying, seems well made although I don't think that road is very acurate! (can forgive them the dodgy mountains with the ammount of content there).

Yes, all of my garages are still there. I copied my profile first in case.

Just noticed the game has been updated to version 1.4.12

Maybe the rest of you are already there.

Painless update, 172Mb and fair while to update all the files.

Seems to run smoother, and some updates to cabin sounds. Noticed that you get the zzzzzz tyre noise if run over the continuous white line carriageway edge marker.

Also can now see all the freight jobs, where before it was limited if you didn't filter down by location of origin.

Does anyone play this with a wheel? I'm enjoying it more than I really should (haven't even got my own truck yet!) but the constant ateering adjustments on the keyboard is a bit awkward for me.
