Does anyone play this with a wheel? I'm enjoying it more than I really should (haven't even got my own truck yet!) but the constant ateering adjustments on the keyboard is a bit awkward for me.
Just bought a Logitech G27 off Ebay. Completely transforms the game. I would suggest you do the same, i havent played with a keyboard as i previously used a XBox controller which wasnt bad. However, using a wheel is great. It really absorbs you in the game and the trucks are so much easier to control- especially if you have the speed limiter off driving at 100mph with a 75 tonne load on the back smile

I had considered a new G27 but i think they go for £260-£300 new! Got mine for £150 in perfect working order.

Just a heads up that 1.6 patch is out. More excellent features and refinements. They've released a community site (www.worldoftrucks.com) where you can sign up. It integrates with the game and allows you to put custom registration plates on your trucks, as well as sharing pictures with the community.

The Iveco Stralis hi-way has new sounds recorded from the truck.

Rumble strips have an improved sound.

And the biggest improvement (for me, at least) is that the trucks now work out fuel consumption based on your driving. On the onboard computer is gives a live readout of the trucks consumption (in l/hr and l/100km) as you're driving.

Also you can set air brake simulation so that you have to drive to preserve air pressure. Make a horlicks of parking the trailer, lots of shuffling and can run out of air and have to sit there ticking over until it builds again.

I love Dan's vids. He must make a mint out of YT, he's got loads of subscribers and does at least one video a day.

I've been watching YouTube videos and quite fancy having a go myself. I shall need a new PC soon anyway so any suggestions as to minimum spec for decent performance with this simulator would be much appreciated smile

Doesn't need that much to run, recommended specs are
Processor:Quad core CPU 3.0 GHz
Memory:4 GB RAM
Graphics:GeForce GTS 450-class
Which is pretty much any new PC that comes with a dedicated graphics card.

To make it look nice and shiny you can spend more money, for games the (general) rule of thumb is the more expensive the graphics card is the better it will run!
DinoPC gets good reviews on here

Remember to add £120 on top of those prices for a monitor.

144 hours clocked on steam on this game since I bought it. Excellent game, although I'm still annoyed that my H shifter broke. Automatic isn't quite as engrossing. Definitely going to look into the Oculus Rift when the proper version is out. Looks excellent. Has anyone bought the 'Going East' expansion?

Also, Euro Truck Simulator rap, complete with Brummy accent..
