I tried the Demo for this yesterday out of interest.

Strangely addictive.

They are already realistic in proportion to the earnings levels in the game. If you want the fines realistic you should also adjust the fees to a realistic level as I can assure you an independent trucker does not really get paid 30,000 euros to drag a trailer of sand from London to Verona. . . . . . .

There are a couple of mods about called "Real Economics" I think, I hear they make the game a lot harder.

Have followed links to a couple of mods but was waiting for the full game to be installed before doing anything.

However when I clicked the link my PC went into Defcon 2 alert malware and who knows what else.

Is there a recognised safe site or is it just that my laptop is paranoid?

You need to be careful as a few of the sites i've seen are full of links for adverts, etc. I'll post a couple of links I've found really handy in a bit (off out now).
You can downloads all the mods you want now and they will be there when you get the game I believe.

http://ets2.lt/ is good, just make sure you click the right download button within the link.

Ok so I put my itunes into the folder but it wont pick it up? Radio is fine but what am i doing wrong?

Top tip: when going from Turin north through the Alps.. don't try and make up time. It will end messily.

Bought my first truck yesterday- VOlvo with a light bar in black FTW!

trying to concentrate on earning steady money and not hitting anything. then its garage upgrade time

How are you earning enough money to buy a truck and upgrade a garage within the demo period?

I found you can only do about a dozen jobs before the demo ends.

Not to mention that also is applicable when driving like a nutter to get to the drop in Milano before your hours run out. Got fined just having tipped and not quite finally parked at the rest stop.
