So there you go, Don't touch the "Physics testing ground" mod or you'll be starting again from scratch like me. irked
That sucks... On the plus side, it's easy to cheat, to get the same level of money and xp back on your new profile, but then you have to buy and do everything up again...

Can you carry on the savegame from the demo when you upgrade to full version?

Yes you can, basically the demo you downloaded is the whole game, except most of it is locked.

Excellent.

I've got the full game coming from amazon, so might as well bash away at the demo.

Cheers

Were you en route to a job in that
Yep. Just tipped a Wien to Birmingham and got the chance of a Birmingham to Osnabruck which would have got me within an hour of my base getting in late Friday.

Took a wrong turning and ran into that lot. Don't tell vonhosen but there may have been a spot of reversing back to a gap in the central reserve and a U turn to get the load.

The other thing you can do is when the game says demo ended create a second profile and away you go again.

is there a place to get 2nd hand trucks? cheapest truck ive found is around £98k from renault.
In the truck customisation you can take its off, like sun visors, mirrors etc which drops the overall price. Real poverty spec.

Where is this whole money cheat business?

I fancy a 2nd profile to find out what I can do, planning wise.

Can you unlock upgrades earlier?

Thanks!

You can get an Iveco down to about £85k. I wouldn't bother if your driving it yourself.

In ETS1, there was a save file, it had all the data in, you have to open it in notebook, find the line the has money xx orsomething along those lines and change it to whatever you want, it will be best to copy and save the original file in case you f**k something up.

Best of luck! (you dirty cheat!) ;P

You can use a program called tSearch, plenty of youtube guides on how to use it.

Handy for a lot of other games as well.

This came yesterday.

So far, I did a couple of jobs and then jumped for a Bank loan and brought a poverty spec truck.

I serviced the truck then did one job, earned ~6,000 and then the truck needed a service which the tab told me it was ~8,500.

Dammit.

Flaming thing won't let me have the weekend off!

Got back to garage late Fri night, took a rest, took another rest. It's now Sunday morning.

"You are in a resting place but you are not tired."

Sod off, Sunday morning leg over followed by run to Wetwang* chippy is sacrosanct.

On my previous profile I used a program called "Cheat Engine", you point it at the running program you want to "cheat" on, find the value you want to change (money, xp, whatever), and change it. Simple as that.

It's not a cheat in the gaming sense of the term, where you do some tricky code thing to "unlock all mods" for example, but if you ramp up your xp all the mods will be unlocked.

Be warned though, it takes away from the appeal of the game and makes it a little pointless imho.

There is a US trucking game, think it was '18 wheels of steel' or something similar. its not as good as this but it is american routes, picking/dropping freight, buy a truck, hire drivers etc.

Maybe theres a mod to add 'merica, - is there a mod to add destinations (more cities/countries) to ETS2?
