There is a free program called paint.net that people use to do paintjobs and this is the guide I used, the rest of my learning is just through trial and error and youtube video's

http://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=...

Anyway, if you guys want a paintjob for the truck you use the most pick a truck and a paintjob and I will see if I can do it.

I've added the two PH skins to dropbox

Is there a way to use these in Multiplayer?

I believe that skins should work in multiplayer so long as they are on an SCS truck no?

I've got the SCS files in the 'mods' folder and can see them in the regular single player mode... If I launch Multiplayer I can't see them nor any of the other mods I've put in there... do they need to be in another folder for Multiplayer?

Sorry Mark I don't know as I don't play mp. If someone else knows and there is something I need to amend in the scs file then I'll happily update and re-add the links.

Haha, maybe they will introduce the illegal immigrant thing mentioned earlier in this thread tongue out V1.26 will break some mod trucks if people are using them fyi, something to do with the interior FOV being changed I think. If it's a mod that uses a vanilla interior then you'll be fine (e.g. Ohaha's DAF XF E6).

Speaking of more detailed maps, Have any of you guys tried the promods map pack/mod?

If not, I very highly recommend it. Its a bit of a faff to install (forum account req + muti part downloads) but its hands down the best mod out there. MUCH more detailed roads, locations, scenery and more. In my honest opinion, it makes the vanilla maps (even with expansions) look a bit crap, so personally I won't be bothering with anymore SCS packs (especially after the ATS debacle) knowing a community team can do a better job for free than what SCS will want to charge money for.

Funny you mention Promods, i did try to install it a few days ago, I could not get it to work. (im usually pretty savvy with this sort of thing) but this mod does seem a bit of a pavlova to install.

If you recomeend it, i will try again.

A Pavlova? The merignue must be causing the issue biggrin

It should just be a case of selecting the files in the mod manager and having them in the right order, the game may reset your location/jobs due to the changes.

I'm not playing at the moment as I've lost my profile and the mod manager is blank, though the mod folder is still full, I restored my backup from 2 months ago and it's still the same so I don't know when the problem started. I had issues before with having Steam on auto update and it being a fuss getting mods working again when I came back to the game. I should probably have had it off though I don't think you can now, short of indefinately leaving updates paused.

From what I've read isn't promods quite sensitive to other mods being used? I'd like to give it ago, however in the interest in filling the scs coffers for more ATS updates I'll buy the France update.

I've been gradually cutting down on the number of mods in my profile after having restarted 3 times! Now I've only got 3 trucks, sounds, weather, hdr, trailers, and traffic ones (sounds like alot but not much to conflict with each other). Going from v1.25 to v1.26 has been quite painless with only 1 mod requiring work and another having to be swapped for a newer version.

I was going to give it a go, but you need all SCS DLCs for it to work, so much for being a free alternative laugh I haven't got the Scandinavia DLC and notice it's back at full price in Steam irked

Scandinavia DLC just over £3 on Steam - http://store.steampowered.com/app/304212/ - I'd imagine they'd be reducing for the other DLCs/main game also.

Just activated the ProMods... it does seems to add an awful lot, "explored" roads has dropped from 80+% to just 22% eek

That's good, I might try promods when I've finished VLF but I'm currently around 80% with the new amount of roads after getting to 100%. I also decided a new expansion = use a new truck

Also Mark, I believe you can get custom truck paint in MP by buying the truck in single player then going over to your MP save and it should be there with the paintjob, but that might've changed.

Well I have to say I agree with a lot of this - I started off in Poland and it was quickly apparent how much more detailed everything was - the roads and junctions feel much more 'organic' (and vary between smooth and lumpy with defects) and make the vanilla ones seem like amateur/cut-and-paste jobs in comparison, and it's a similar story with the scenery/landscapes/buildings etc.

The best bits are the new roads though - there's a fantastic road which goes up to the north of Finland and has a few extrusions into Russia, which feels quite wild and remote with the odd dirt track and odd bit of Russian military hardware on display biggrin If north coast of Finland isn't remote enough theres a ferry you can take to Svalbard...

Quite frankly I can't understand how a bunch of amateurs can do something like this - this is the sort of quality & quantity SCS should be putting out. Even if you've got the France DLC I'd still recommend giving this a go, think you'll need to revert to 1.25 but it's definitely worth it. The only niggle I've had is when loading from a savegame there's a 2 minute freeze before it start to actually load stuff. I've only got a few of the Jazzycat traffic/trailers and a few sound mods running alongside, and my machine (i3, spindle drive etc.) isn't a powerhouse.

My latest download, thanks to the mods from SCS forum also being available on Workshop. It does mean I cannot play multiplayer without reverting the truck back to base each time, but I find once you've sat in a jam once or twice / idiots in Skodas constantly trying to flip you, the novelty wears off.

The trailer packs by Jazzycat are fantastic - only wish is for more heavy loads on job list, without just increasing the weight of a box trailer.

There are mods for Scania, Volvo and Mercedes on the Workshop that allow more chassis customization, much recommended.
