'PHarming' is the chilled clan (which is nearly full). 'Pistonheads' for wars.
Hey were chilled. I've seen more drama In my week at PHarming than months in pistonheads. Proper Mardy. People being kicked all sorts! Besides I find the game a bit dull without war.

Two lightning spells on the one buried in the middle works. Every time.
and Giants. I take 10-15 giants on farming attacks with 4-6 wb's to cut through to the mortars ASAP. Otherwise they destroy swarms of barbs/archers very quickly. And use Goblins a lot
Level 2 Dragons generally work well against TH 7's and below. Them along with some healing spells, and possibly another Dragon or Balloons from the CC, do the job 9 out of 10 times. That's as long as the dragons take out the air defences failry quickly and don't go off in random directions.
No idea about higher levels.

I've been playing this for a while on my iPad and on my phone but it's starting to get to the point where it's damned near impossible to do anything without either gems or money. I get raided by people higher up, get wasted, lose 150k+ of gold and elixir which I'm struggling to make back while the shield is up. It feels like it takes about a week to afford a single upgrade and 90% of the time I have at least one builder, often two sitting doing nothing. The balancing is all wrong. My TH is level 7 I think and I'm slowly grinding away at the upgrades but it's not much fun ATM.
Do you have a farm base layout? i.e the townhall outside your walls and your storages in the middle?
Also it's not a good idea to have both gold and elixer storages too full.
If you're picky with your raids you can find some easy bases with all the loot in the collectors (if you zoom in before starting the battle you can see if the collectors are full)
I tend to use 10-15 giants, put them down first as meatshields then a row of barbs and archers and send in a few WBers. This army is ready in 20mins.

I've tried the TH outside and I found it doesn't really work. They attack the TH and then attack the rest of the base anyway. It's an instant defeat after the TH is gone so just adds insult to injury. Also it's not a good idea to have both gold and elixer storages too full.

One tactic is to put Tesla towers around the th so that snipers use a fair few troops on the town hall.
My last few attacks
I use 8-10 Giants. 40+ archers. 40 barbarians. 20-30 goblins. 5 wallbreakers. 1 healer if needed.
I use 40 gems then raid for 2 hours straight. Upgrading my walls when I can. I usually get about 2-4 million gold in the 2 hours.
My base. The past 2 days nobody has attacked me. Unsure if it is because I have the barbarian king? I should be gettig attacked because I must be hitting so many peoples bases a day
Going to max this town house before upgrading to Town House 8. Then I fancy some warring.
