Before the PP's were adjusted back again, I was going to go for the Chevy SSR wink
Did it use to have XKR-like qualities? hehe

I've just been fighting a major dilemma in the coupe class, running two cars back to back to back to back.. Each was getting faster and faster, which is a nice problem to have, but happily my favourite came out on top! Set a new record lap, then had splits of -0.002, -0.001 and -0.055 on the next lap, that's when you know you have something that suits you biggrin

So that's one decided, two more classes to go..

Time and track Sam? It would be good to see how my secret coupé, none of you know about, competes.
By the way I'm Chris.

I'm sure it would, but that's just why I was reluctant to give any more info biggrin

Nah, mutual disclosure makes for more entertaining racing. I have consistent 1'34.2s in one and 1'34.6s in the other around Trial Mountain. My saloon is getting close, my convertible is much
faster!

Hi Chris smile I do like using 'real' named with this sorta thing.. Though having PH name, PSN AND actual name tests one's mental filing wink

That's decent! Bit irked that I don't have the Evora, I have been meaning to try an Elise, though. Both my coupes there are front-engined, and after seeing how F1's NSX performs, I'm tempted to do something midship.

Haven't had any setup work done yet, mind smile

So had a run with a few cars.
I am going with the z4M Coupe (may change to Evora if I can't tune it better), Boxter and Focus RS. Focus is 2 sec slower but I cant find a good saloon that's faster. Evora, M3 CSL and Elise were faster but I've used them.
Times were all low 1:35's except Elise and Evora which were 1:34.3s.

Car list updated for Alga Ricambi. Cars are Alfa GT 3.2; Mazda RX8 (the premium one) and Lotus Elise 111R.

Adter all that trouble getting a GTA I just can't fet one to go fast enough and it's ragged. The GT is faster and like Colin said handles nicely. The RX8 is fast, the Elise is stupid fast when I can keep it pointing straight.

The Z4 convertible felt awesome, and mighty on the brakes, but it just wasn't posting the laptimes. The Skyline Sedan 350GT is nice and steady and quick, felt more composed than the Mazda, but the RX8 is just faster.

Viper, let me know if you want the GTA back as I won't be using it.

I thought about using a Z4 3.0, but whilst it was nice to steer, it was just slow - like kiseca said.

After some more testing I don't know if I'll use the M3 again. I just seem to get on so well with it and it has a really stable setup.

Don't mind Alfa - keep hold of it if you want it.

Cool, I'll do that thanks, I owe you one.

I'm quite disappointed that I couldn't make it competitive. The GT can fly the Alfa flag for me but two would have been better and having a GTA as the flagship, even if it was the FWD one, would have been good. I hope Alfa (the real company) have a return to form before GT6. The 4C may have been a compelling option actually if it was available.

I still can't get my head around the Z4 either. I was halfway around the first lap and already wondering what it would look like in red, it just felt perfect. But I just couldn't get a good lap time from it and I can't tell where it's losing out. It's good on the brakes, the speeds looked competitive on the straights, the nose was turning in nicely and holding on well too, there was more than enough traction so I was getting flat on the throttle really early... I still have no idea where the time was going.

I assume you talk of the Z4 not z4M coupé? I found the Z4M as fast as the Evora.

dont worry it's same for all of us but it is weird it sets slow times but seems to be fast to drive

Carmo, I'm talking about the convertible, not the M, I assume F1 is too.

Interested to try the 3.0 now after hearing this - if only because then I can see what your idea of slow is hehe

I might end up with a whole team of BMWs if I can make it good, that would appeal to me!
