As free games go its very good, yes at first there is down time when cars need repairs, but once you get a couple then just switch between cars and race series and keep playing, one gripe i have is that always starting from the back of the field especially in larger grids involves some aggressive driving which involves damage to your car, better if there was say one flying lap to qualify before the race, but I've still got to level 57 with over 200 wins and 9 cars, so its ok. This is on a android nexus7 tablet which plays ok, but I think apple products have better features and graphics like a rear view camera which I don't have?

The AI infuriates me.

Yeah i have noticed how you're effectively forced to damage your car to win races a lot of the time (or maybe I'm just overly aggressive). Are you sure that's just not something in the settings because I have a rear view camera on mine?

It isn't cars behind, it is ones you are trying to pass. It's as though they have a predetermined path to take, and will take it, regardless whether you are alongside or not. Only when you touch do they do something else.

I thought the other cars in this were laps that other players have done, replayed in your game. Timeshift multiplayer or whatever its called.

It is car behind whether it be ones I've passed or those catching me up, it just states a distance diminishing or increasing of the vehicle behind.

They are. My point stands. They are not 'live' laps, but a 'recording' so to speak.

Galaxy S3, I have a rear view 'mirror' on my display

My S3 has reflections in the mirrors, my N7 doesn't.

There's a setting that you can adjust between detail and smoothness, it picks a lower detail for the N7 which works well.

Ill be more specific, yes I have a rear view mirror, side mirrors for that matter too, but there is nothing shown in any of them, just a silver frame with no rear views of anything, on a nexus7.

I've downloaded this today, and i'm pretty impressed that a phone can display graphics like this. Not done too many races yet, and i'm certainly not using real money to progress, but it's a great time (and battery!) waster.

This is my addiction on my Nexus 10 - downloaded it on day 1 of ownership, now that's all I use it for. laugh

I can't help feeling I've splurged a lot of cash on cars I don't use - actually contemplating starting again armed with what I have learned.

The game - to me - seems to rate big yank cars a lot more highly than they deserve. Maybe 300bhp/ton consulted on it.

One thing that bugs me: why is the short Brands Hatch track there but not the full one? I was kind of expecting to come to it, but so far haven't.

Has anyone else found the silly prizes you can get, like extra points for finishing backwards?

Exactly this hehe

I noticed this thread and thought, what's the point of having a top-flight phone (HTC One) if I don't get this sort of stuff? And bloody hell, I was amazed. Seeing a normal-sized phone throw out graphics and gameplay like this is incredible, it's beyond a lot of PS2 games!

Got it last night and hooked already. Been having great fun with my Silvia, and a Z4 35is has just been delivered biggrin now I have two cars I don't even need to do revision during servicing time!

Fantastic model if you ask me, very impressed with the detail and it was clearly written by people who know racing. In fact, a lot more so than Gran Turismo is. And I could easily play it free the whole way, brilliant!

Have completed about 50% of the game on my iPad, how do I get that progress transferred onto my iPhone?

In the options menu you can save progress to/from the cloud. You may need to be signed in with Gamecenter though.

Might yet have to put up with some downtime during services, I expected the costs to increase with more powerful and complex cars, but I didn't expect the time to change! Why the hell does it take more than twice as long to change the tyres on the Z4 than the Silvia hehe perhaps they're burning a load of time dealing with the tyre pressure monitoring system?!

There's some kind of update due with a Dubai track - refers to "get this from the App store" so maybe money is involved.

At the moment this is my guilty pleasure / waste of time on my iPad Mini!! It's massively frustrating and completely addictive at the same time!

Farming for cash is annoying.... the AI is hugely frustrating.... the utter lack of prize money grates (I refuse to pay EA real money for in-game credits, they've had enough of my money over the yrs!)... but I keep coming back and playing it just to get those gold medals!! I don't know how EA have managed to make such an annoying game so addictive, but they have!

I got the latest update recently, so there's some new stuff in there, but I was a little disappointed that the new cars haven't been added to existing race tiers.

If those of you playing haven't noticed, this week the Lambo Murci GT1 is 50% off. By the time I get home, mine should have been "delivered" smile

To help farming for cash, if anyone wants to join me on Game Centre, my ID is: 356Speedster, feel free to add me smile
