I dont understand, it doesnt cost any real money to play the game.
I think EA's intention from reading the forums is that the latest updates are leading to a point whereby to further complete sections of the game, actually buying credits or coins whatever, with cash will be needed ....

Lets face it the majority of players get by without actually spending any real money whatsoever, that's not financially profitable for EA considering all the time and money they have ploughed into developing it.

Some people have too much time on their hands but it is very useful!

The lastest update has ruined it for me. I have a Galaxy S2, but it will no longer load after the latest update - It hangs on the firemonket screen, and then crashes :-(

This game is so frustrating! It's fun sure, but as others have said, it's so hard to progress without mindlessly doing already completed races over again, just to get money to upgrade cars to meet PR requirements frown Even friend race bonuses don't really help. I feel I'm at an end just because I can't be bothered to spend more time doing old races than new ones..... I reckon it's going to take over R$300K to upgrade my R8 LMS to be able to do another race with it and that's an absolutely stupid amount of time to re-do old races mad

Oh, tip for everyone...... you can skip wait times by switching your iPad to Airplane Mode, then manually moving your system clock on in Settings. It works great, but you must select a car and load an event before you put the clock back to normal and switch off airline mode. Also, don't go over mid-night or when you reset back to today, you'll lose your daily race bonus.

I can live with the farming and stuff, I kind of find that a given for racing games I guess.

I one that bakes my balls is the PR requirements! I've done most of the Vanguard Challenge with the MP12C to 70% and I need one more trophy from that to open up the GT1 series but I'm fked for it because I can't upgrade the Mp12C to a high enough level to win another trophy.

So no GT1 Series for me then because I need 1.25m to buy a Zonda/F1 plus all the money on top of that to upgrade to a high enough PR requirement. It's a frickin joke.

Yep, the PR requirement bit is the worst. I've splurged money to get through the muscle car championship, and even to qualify for mid level cups I have to spend a fortune on allegedly the best car in the range. I must have spent going on $200,000 just to get it up to spec.

Also, has anyone else noticed that drag races seem to have suddenly got much harder?

Yeah, it's easier if you play with the device offline. It also randomly generates the cars you face, so keep trying until you get something easier.

It was much more enjoyable when the cups didn't have PR. Means you have to buy so many cars/upgrades just to make it through section.

Loving the new 911 section though. Paid for the 2.7 and didn't upgrade it, then used the cheap Targa to get me the 2 races needed to skip the other cars and unlock the 997 Turbo. Normally you'll get 2 sections for each car you buy but it seems anything you buy in the 50 years bit only lets you race in there. Hopefully this changes.

I play this on the bog on my iPad mini and have racked up a whopping 55 hours! Not bad for someone that doesn't game any more!

Yup, the PR system effectively ruined the game as a Free to use enterprise as you cannot now finish many series without spending GC and unfortunatly they cost a fortune!

This actually got me pining after games again (it's the only 'app' game I have). Ended up buying a G25 (wheel only) for £45 off ebay as mine busted and I just left it in the cellar (wheels and gearstick are fine). So I'll be setting that back up with GT5 (which I haven't touched in well over a year!). All in good time to sidestep buying any credits in RR3 biggrin

Feels good man biggrin

Does anyone know where there's a list of the cars with their PR (I think that means performance ratings) in fully upgraded form? Having some buying decision to make......

Use the Firemonkey RR3 forums, they are full of every useful piece of information your need to know.

Unfortunately they're also offline at the moment.

I downloaded this onto my S3 a week ago and am really enjoying it, especially being able to play against mates via the TimeShift function, but it must have a glitch, a good one in fact. I have hundreds of millions of R$ and gold credits from the off.

A workmate has just got it on his S4 and he is also mega rich from day one. My kids have just got it on their Kindle Fires but have to actually earn money biggrin

I've been playing it a fair bit recently, the live online racing still seems a bit flaky, but the rest of the game is good.

They were giving away the M3 GTS and I also recently discovered that entering "50 years of 911" into the "Race codes" box gives you the 911 RS and opens up the 50 years of 911 series.

How's this going for people?

Anyone completed the Hyundai rally special where the game makes you waste all your coins only to get to the last race and need another 80 odd coins to get the PR up! Please tell me you get loads back once completed?

Nope!

I purposely didn't finish some of these events because you actually end up with negative coins based on what you need to spend and what you win.

It's a great game but the in-app purchase system really ruins it, I've pretty much stopped playing it for this reason.

The Gold thing does rather ruin it.

When you have cars that are 800 Gold, and upgrades that are 50 it's insane.

If you click on the 'i' button at the left of the list of events you can see how much gold you get for completing a championship. Usually about 20. I gave up on that Hyundai quite rapidly.

There is about to be a new update with a trackday car theme: Caterham 620R, Ariel Atom V8 and KTM X-Bow I think.

I still enjoy playing it occasionally, I tend to only buy the cars I like, rather than trying to complete whole series.

I played it for a while, but got annoyed at the fact that even though I had unlimited gold coins and money, I still couldn't buy the cars I wanted without completing a ridiculous amount of races.

Never have enough money to buy all the upgrades & then the next car.

What I find more annoying is that they offer a car on sale, say a Zonda R with 40% off. Because I haven't gotten that far yet, I cant buy it so when I do, it will be full price. Just let me buy it but not allow me to race it until ive unlocked the correct race series.
