It's surprisingly quiet in here for such an amazing title. Skyrim thread was buzzing.

That's because we're all too busy playing the game smile

Ditto too busy, ok i'll bit first!

One question the crossbow I am having trouble using it! Middle mouse button? Doesnt seem to work and one minor grip is the cost of mats to make the bombs and also cant use it some times! Something missing! I was killing the nests but that would stop things to kill and ran out of bombs!

Skill set I went for Fast attack, Oils, and 2 in Signs with Sun and Stars for health regen! What are you gone for! May put some in Rage Management as cant use the in mid battle fustrates me!

useful page!

I'm about to leave the first area, can I return here later?

I only have 1 question mark to identify on the map but it's in the middle of a body of water and I'm getting murdered by monsters in the water trying to get to it. I don't want to leave stuff undone though if I can't return.

Yes you can go back afterwards! I didn't kill them either, for me they were lvl 10 and I was lvl 4,i belive the way to kill them is with the crossbow. You can navigate to area using the world map to go back I believe,

Well it should be, Skyrim is 5 years old.
And I'm still playing it! I've been delaying an 'upgrade' to a PS4 for ages now, is it time??

Yes, very much yes. Witcher is brilliant! More technical than Skyrim, but much more beautiful and the quests are more complex.

I am loving the game. I can't find the time to play it as much as I'd like - but so far it's bloody ace.

Looks gorgeous too on my PC smile

I'm thinking my of getting this for PS4, I assume there is no online feature to this? If not then I think the new skyrim will sway me.

No online no. By the new Skyrim, do you mean the Elder Scrolls online? If so, it's not very good.

Ok, thank you, can you suggest an alternative?

Having just arrived at the second area, I'm finding myself almost done with this game.

I'm just not into the plot at all and the combat is just dull. I put it on, play for 30-40 mins and I'm bored with it. I'm level 4 and just took out a bandit camp full of level 10 enemies. Should have been an interesting fight but it just wasn't. It was a simplistic button mash and dodge fest. Yawn.

I'm playing on second highest difficulty since a site I read recommended this as the optimal difficulty to start on. Might bump it up to hardest, but if all it does is makes the enemies have more HP it's just going to make it even more dull and combat more of a chore.

Also Geralt's batman impression does start to grate after a while.

It looks beautiful though.

Are you looking for a giant online RPG? I think the one that's picking up most subscriptions on PS4 is Final Fantasy 14.

Bugger. Do not understand that, all of these type of games are so much more immersive in first person imo. 3rd person is just watching it unfold, no immediate connection at all.

Generally melee combat stinks in first person. Look at skyrim, the combat was dreadful. Fps are only good for shooting.

I found the combat dreadful to begin with but stuck it out, got used to the signs and have just restarted the game on the highest difficulty level which is a chore at first as just a couple of drowners can end you pretty quickly, the 'quen' is pretty much essential which is a shame as it doesn't really let you improvise but when it's levelled up and the quen can take a few more hits it should be good.

...the card game, Gwent, is genuinely brilliant when you start getting interesting cards.

I'd disagree with this. I think ESO is a great game. It stands alone as a single player RPG as well as being able to be played as an MMO as well. The latest updates have really improved a number of things but the story telling and quest giving is better than any MMO I've ever seen with compelling main stories and interesting and fun side-quests as well

I'm personally going to mirror my account to the XB1 in a few weeks and use it primarily on the xbox so that I can have a quality MMO/RPG from my couch.

I'm just not feeling this game either... I've put a few hours in over the weekend and I'm at the point - SPOILER!!

Where the Baron digs up his fetus and it either turns into a botchling or ghostly type things appear.

I'm struggling a fair bit with this as I haven't leveled up much due to just ploughing through the main quest.

The main quest just seems a bit boring tbh. Just moving from yellow marker to yellow marker and performing silly tasks like ringing a bell and getting a goat to follow you. I will persist though.

Anyone else around this point in the game? Does it pick up?
