Kerbal Space Program

I think when Kerbal 1 was first available to buy it so different and interesting that we didn't mind early access, these days (can't find the grandpa smilie...) people have been so burned by early access and we already have KSP 1 that a lot of people are going to wait until the first patch after release before buying it!
Plus a lot of people will probably wait until the modders are up to speed. I don't usually bother installing each new version of KSP1 for a fair while so that all my favourite mods are availableWell, I did notice in the news the other day:

Well KSP has just effed me over. Return with a collision course with Kerbin it said . . . .
Crash my space probe into Kerbin and it didn't complete the contract
I hope KSP2 has clearer objectives . . . .
often says return x safely to Kerbin........... clearly as we all know safety is over rated. If it hits you have landed....if your Kerbin can walk away its a great landing.Crash my space probe into Kerbin and it didn't complete the contract

Don't think I've ever had a contract with a collision course to Kerbin. Maybe you crashed it in to the company that was going to pay
I've been refining my KOS scripts with tourist missions to the Mun and Minmus. launch, transfer, rendezvous and dock with the Mun/Minmus station as one mission. Deorbit and land at target co-ordinates, then reboot the KOS module to launch, rendezvous and dock as another. The return to Kerbin is too easy to do manually and a bit complicated to do automatically unless in an equatorial orbit, so I've not got round to that one yet.
I do love watching my automated dockings though.

It's the first of that type of contract I've had, which is unusual as I've played the game quite a bit.
According to the forum 'a collision course' means to go into orbit, then bring your periapsis down into the atmosphere.
Even more annoyingly I'm playing on hard mode and can't save, so lost the entire mission

Scott Manley's video of getting to orbit without any engines, using a bug in 1.9 and...

Has anyone played with the console version much? I want to get back into it but I don't know if the console version is worth playing... I'm not going to buy a new PC for it as I wouldn't use it for anything else, even though I'm sure it would be a lot easier to control!
I have it on Xbox, having had it when it first came out on PC.It’s actually really good. The enhanced edition works really well with the control pad (avoid the original version) and its fairly straightforward landing on Mun. It also looks great. If it wasn’t for COD Warzone I’d be on KSP.
Watching the KSP2 trailer gives me hope that in ten years we will have graphics like that in gameplay.

Good to know, thanks! I played it at the very first version on pc, when it was all a sandbox with nothing to "do", but my pc quickly ran out of puff with the following versions... Now I want to get back to it! It’s actually really good. The enhanced edition works really well with the control pad (avoid the original version) and its fairly straightforward landing on Mun. The KSP forum is pretty good with a lot of tutorials and guides https://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/
Loads of youtube videos about too, Scott Manley being the best known, but bear in mind a lot are for older versions so the mechanics will be the same but the details might vary a bit.
You mention scripts, are you looking at kOS?
