So still no shuffle, no course creator, no community stuff, no improved AI, and my birthday is 20/01.
I won't be bothering
I know!! how dare they give you a free update with several extra cars and tweaks and some new events to try out.

The very cheek of it!
~I agree with Civ tbh.

How bloody rude.
Really? you think that is "bloody rude"? How long have you been on Pistonheads now? My post was cheeky (deliberately) and sarcastic. But "Bloody rude"? No, it really wasn't.

Here is a free update that gives extra content... that is FREE.

What is there to moan about? It's free, it adds and improves certain parts of the game, I see no reason to be upset enough to "not bother" just because it came after a birthday so you didn't get an extra car, or stamp internet keyboard feet because it didn't add the feature wanted now. To me that just seems like a really childish response (yes I see the comedy of saying that on a forum named "Computer games" hehe ) and makes the poster seem a little tiny bit...

Did I point out that this update is FREE? Not sure if it's been mentioned yet?

But it's a free update. Just so you know.
wooosh parrot ready for deployment.......

They need to rid the game of the putrid st stain that is the Nascar championship. You do the hard work you get into first position and the bds gain on you in the slipstream like they are driving through a fking vacuum! and then to top it off once they have caught you, they pit manoeuvre you into the fking wall. oh right cheers, yeah don't mind me you bunch of AI bags
Have you Never seen NASCAR in real life? rofl

I won't even touch the wky NASCAR bit or the stupid MOON ROVER bit on GT6.

Have the stoppying cars been fixed yet?

Haven't played for a few weeks and noticed there were updates.

This is what I mean by 'stoppy':

Yes ages ago.

I don't think I've had.that happen once. Rolled it bouncing off a kerb once or twice but never done a stoppy.
The issue wasn't that you could get your car to do one (at least I never have), but that CPU controlled cars do them quite regularly on hilly courses.
EXACTLY.

Did anyone else think the new seasonals with the Rocket, Mit Evo and the G37 were really difficult? I just and I mean just got gold. Took a long time I can tell you with a lot of set-up changes.

I do really enjoy this game and practice on a lot of tracks often but I do feel short changed that there aren't many built in races/challenges. I have the final Redbull races left and then It'd be completed. I really hope there's plenty of free DLC available soon.

I liked the original concept of doing the licenses first and regardless of what trophy I received I would start the races. If I got bored I'd go back to doing the licenses to get all gold.

I liked GT4 best as you could do manufacturer/country challenges. Never had a PS1 so never played GT and GT2 other than briefly on a friends console.

Loving the snow rally tracks. Constant oversteer smile
shout ONLINE RACING!

+1 I've played and loved racing games my whole life not a fan of FPS. Gotta say GT6 is the least played racing game I've ever owned, just didn't keep my attention.
Don't get me wrong I love GT6...but real life is getting in the way right now.

As confirmed in a major announcement from Polyphony Digital and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), Gran Turismo 6 has become the first-ever video game to feature FIA-certified content, with four of the game’s real-world tracks receiving approval from the governing body of world motorsport.

Certification was granted after FIA officials visited Polyphony’s Tokyo development studio to inspect the game’s 3D modeling standards. Other tracks featured in the game are also marked for inspection to receive FIA certification in the future.

Jacques Berger, Head of Safety for the FIA, spoke highly of the game’s quality standards: “It was not until we completed the tests between our track data and the game’s track data that we fully appreciated the level of work and attention to detail that goes into the development of Gran Turismo 6. It was not just the tracks that have been precisely mapped out, but also the surrounding landscapes such as the run-off areas, grandstands and buildings.”

Polyphony Digital’s partnership with the FIA will play an even more important role with the launch of the 2015 FIA Online Championship, an official competition which will be hosted in Gran Turismo by the FIA themselves.

“This innovative new partnership will ensure that millions of Gran Turismo and motor sport fans can race on even more detailed tracks at home. The Gran Turismo series has played an important role in helping to attract a new fan base to motor sport. With the input of FIA in the development of the upcoming FIA Online Championship, Gran Turismo 6 will now offer an experience even closer to the real world of motor sport. We are also excited to be working closely with Polyphony Digital and Sony Computer Entertainment in the future to find new ways to continue to make motor sport more accessible to millions of fans that share a passion for racing,” said FIA president Jean Todt.

Kazunori Yamauchi is understandably very proud of this accomplishment, referring to it as the “biggest accolade we have ever received” and a “major step forward [in] our mission to connect our virtual and real racing worlds”.

Stay tuned for more news and details on the FIA Online Championship, which is sure to be a major event in the world of Gran Turismo next year!

As revealed during Kazunori Yamauchi’s joint presentation with FIA president Jean Todt at the ADAC headquarters in Munich, the competition will consist of three “championships”: the “National Championship”, “Regional Championship”, and an “International Championship”.

Other details include:

To be made accessible to all age groups.
A wide variety of racing categories.
Winner celebrated at FIA Prize Giving ceremony.
Delivery of a message emphasizing safety.
Final race to be supervised by FIA officials.

These details emphasize the high-profile nature of the competition – the “FIA Prize Giving Ceremony” is one of the most glamorous off-track events in motorsport. Typically held in Monaco or Paris, it’s where the Formula One, WRC, WTCC, WEC, and all other FIA-sanctioned world championship trophies are awarded, and next year a Gran Turismo player will be right there with them.
Wow thank you.

Any hint on GT for the PS4 at all?

That's simply not true, and your crack about 'the wrong kind of console' hints at an agenda.
Or maybe hints at banter with friends? However what I said is true, I played Forza and was thoroughly whelmed. The driving side of things just seemed a bit wrong after GT - the cars almost felt like they were floating.

But no, you're right, Forza is God's gift to driving games. The issue is clearly with me.

Or we could all be looking for different things....
I agree with you bodhi, forza drives/feels like an arcade game, as have the previous versions before it..Forza cars are floaty with tendency to understeer.

not fair to compare the two

Not worth reading past the word "rumour" IMO. They could put TT in the feature list on the back of the fking DVD box and it still wouldn't mean it will be in the game.
"Rumour" has it it is going to be in Tourist Trophy 2.
