Anyone else unable to perform the latest update 1.0.5 and it throws the PS3 offline? It's really annoying me and it bombs out every time even after restarting the router and it won't allow you to play the game without applying the update.

After it crashes out my PS3 won't get back online until I reboot it and the system is up to date.

Disappointed by the lack of drifting events, as I enjoy them.

Am I doing something wrong, as on-line drift events do not show points, you just end up in a random practice/race session.

I think the drifting tag is so you don't enter a room expecting a race when everyone is just drifting around

I was really good at drifting a fully tuned Supra in GT5 but all I seem to do is spin in the same car in GT6.

Regarding the coffee break drifting, the RX7 is very hard as it's a touring car which is more for handling than drifting. The Blitz car is easier but all I can say is leave it in a low gear as leave it in a higher gear and you'll just spin.

Sadly it seems frown I haven't played GT6 for a good month or so now, when it first came out I was suitably impressed with the new bits and pieces but knowing it wasn't really a complete game nagged at me too much! And the fact they keep pushing the bloody credit packages or whatever they are called on Facebook and emails! Sod off Polyphony! Give us what we've paid for first and then ask for more money you greedy s**ts!

It's the same with GTA although the Pistonhead crew has kept me going on there!

I bought a cheap PS3 just to play this game in the vain hope that it would prove to be something special. I haven't played it for about six weeks and the PS3 is getting more use as a Blu Ray player than a games console!!

The problems are well documented so I wont list them here. I'll continue to hope that Polyphony will get their act together and turn the game into what it should have been in the first place.

I suspect that before long, GT7 will be on the way and the hope will again begin to build that this time they will have cracked it and will deliver the game we all want (as happened with GT5 and GT6). I wont hold my breath.

I'd hate to be a game developer these days.

Rush out a buggy feature to hit a deadline - people complain
Delay feature so that it works - people complain
Release fully working feature on time - people complain

The issue here being they actually said there'd be monthly updates. In short they haven't lived up to their word. They should not be making promises they can't keep, it damages trust and future sales.

Glad I didn't buy it.

Too late I think, the number of people racing GT6 online seems to have really dropped off from GT5, yet again they produce a game where the tyre physics are all over the place, the 500pp cars are as quick as the old 550pp's (nearly), the engine notes are awful (buy a god damn copy of Forza, its not impossible if they can get it right)

I am a die hard fan of the GT series, have been from the beginning but with everyone screaming the engine sounds are crap, yet again it seems they've done nothing. I spend 7.5 Million on a nice old Ferrari and it sounds worse than fart in a jam jar.

I've never had any complaint about a single GT until this one, and the 2 gripes have been the piss poor servers meaning you get disconnected from rooms at random, a well documented problem. And the promise of monthly updates to give us content that's not even new, it's all listed on the box!

I'd say they are 2 fair grievances to have with a game after 15 years.

It's shows how bad it's got when gt5 has had another seasonal update and nothing for gt6.

Since February that's 4 - 1 update for gt5 over gt6 WTF!

I've tried not to moan about x and y but they've promised a lot with gt6 and delivered sweet FA since 1/2/14 - one update in 2 months and that was just to add multi monitors - which affects maybe 0.5% of users (3d would have been better IMHO) and some traction to the karts! How many users a) use TC???? Not many since most threads have a lot wishing for the big off button and b) on a kart - they've finally lost the plot!

So much so that I'm seriously looking at a pc rig today

Long time no race Darkdice (J3SHF) They taken a game that a lot of people loved (sure it had issues at the start which they fixed, pp levels, tyre grip levels etc) and produced a new game that has got exactly the same issues again. Did they learn nothing from GT5, really disappointed so far, even i'm considering putting it down and getting on with Spartan training, which tbh I really should be doing now lol.

Yep back to sqaure one with online especially. Now the search for friends doesn't work at all!

I think they just forgot 5 had updates and used the 1st build of it as a starting point for 6!!

Sports hard is the best tyre in the game. The physics for slicks feels messed up.

Brakes were awesome when it launched even with abs off. Now there back to being all over the place when abs is off!
