Forza 3 and 4 are far superior to GT6.
If you like the Forza feel and way of doing things. If you prefer the GT way and feel, you're probably better off with GT6.

Just saying...

Can we knock the GT vs Forza debate on the head, please? It's so 2011.

Prospect of Snaefell mountain course excites, that's quite a body of unreleased content they're sitting on now…

Watched it a while back, some decent insight into the future of the series, (e.g. more focus on real world programs like GT Academy), and the attention to detail (such as the interior of the Coloseum model that no-one will see).

Another blog entry about sound in GT:

http://pitstop.gran-turismo.com/en/article/634

I get the feeling that reason sound in GT hasn't improved is not because of laziness, but because Kaz insists it's done as accurately as possible and they don't have the time/resources to do this yet. Other developers have probably taken short-cuts, or made the sounds rather exaggerated to make it more exciting but Kaz isn't willing to do this. Certainly the new Senna cars seem to be an improvement, and it sounds like GT7 is going to be considerably better.

If they can sort out the sound, simplify the menus and add good support project Morpheus, GT7 could be a winner.

How can KAZ make such a fking meal of sorting the sound out?....NO OTHER racing game ever has struggled like this one with the sound.

All this work, faff and bullst and I bet the sound will still be wk on GT7 when it comes out in 2020 frown

please let me be wrong

So any sound engineers, recording engineers out there that are like “Hey let ME improve the sounds of Gran Turismo!”, we’re hiring. It should be pretty fun working to unravel the mysteries of sound from a technical point of view, and travel all over the world recording sounds in the process.

Thought as much, they cant fix and have no idea !

And still no track creator,no online community, graphics are a messy haze compared to gt5,

not played for weeks now, totally bored with it !

certainly will not be getting gt7 smash
I haven't played in weeks either, all seems to have gone quiet on the GT6 front so I'm hoping that means they are actually working.

It just sounds like more excuses. The sounds in the GT series have always been pants but very little has been done to improve it. Compared to the many other racing games out there, GT has been left along way behind due to Polyphony's stubbornness.

I would happily accept a car list half the size or even a few less tracks if it meant that they could get the cars looking and sounding as they should. Instead Polyphony have given us the moon and a data logger. Great.

Track Creator is in beta at the moment, according to the Reddit AMA he did a while ago.

How hard can a track creator be FFS? Even that cartoon kart game that i can't remember the name of had one that was a doddle to use! It doesn't have to create perfect tracks, just somewhere to race on with some background.

There's a big update (over 2.1GB). It's installing right now, I wonder what it is?!

Yep that and race numbers on most premium cars plus a couple of new designs for said numbers.

Pretty poor to say the least considering size of update. It's the hd videos to go with the cars I guess

It still sounds excessive though. There must be a lot of stuff in this update preparing for more features later, surely?

Let's hope so.

Still missing a lot of stuff from the cover let alone the stuff announced as extra via download on the website!

The GPS track editor is the killer feature, surely. Drive your favorite route with a smartphone app running, then get back home and load the data into GT6 for a blast. Hopefully you can share it with others too.
