Which was Stephen's point!
Yes most of these features should have been in the game in the first place. Would have been rich if they tried to charge for stuff that was on the box but not actually in the game. This is just a nice way for them to finish the game off without having to wait another 5 years.I am surprised they have persisted with the updates for as long as they have though. Not sure who project manages the GT series but they are piss poor at it tbh. It's probably about time that they ended development on GT6, left it for what is and just concentrated on the next one IMO.

Really it's not even 12 months old yet. If they did stop I can imagine some lawsuits in the USA if not all content on the box was delivered. Poly just shoot themselves in the foot all the time. We are doing x y and z but we might get x in a slightly different format or something thing different altogether. Take painting calipers - It's never been mentioned yet it's delivered a head of stuff they do annouce.

It's amazing the logical hoops people jump through to stick their oar in on this game - it's crap both because all the promised content hasn't been released yet, at the same time it's crap because they're updating it and adding that content...
Since launch they've said there would be 28 Vision GT concepts, they're at 6 now, but stop now anyway...
It's crap because content on the box is not getting delivered and we get no information about when to expect it, if ever. Because a new track shown and announced for release in March still hasn't turned up and we get no further information about what went wrong or when or if to expect this track. They say something will happen, it doesn't, and they just go silent. The car sounds are still st. The camber settings worked the wrong way around until, what, June?Since launch they've said there would be 28 Vision GT concepts, they're at 6 now, but stop now anyway...

The Senna content was great and, at only a week late, a great improvement onPD's usual delivery promises.
The Vision cars, well, if they were the most interesting thing in the game for me I might be more excited about it, but they aren't. Even there, I thought I'd read somewhere that they were going to be one a month too. I could be mistaken on that, but if they were, then PD are behind on them too. They probably weren't though.
Kaz has been watching stuff like this while sorting out the sound on GT7

They've been sorting out the sound since GT2 I think, but despite that they've still managed to make some cars sound great, and others crap.
They know what to do and how to do it well, but for some reason they don't do it right all the time.
Same with AI.
Same with handling.
Yadda yadda.
GT is good it's just a shame it takes a full 6 years to make the game properly.
GT HD > GT5 P, GT5 > GT 6.
But it seems they get it 90% right in the first version or even prologue, then they spend literally years just pontificating or something.
Weird company, and a somewhat weird and frustrating product overall because of it.
I love all the GT's but just as they are getting good, then PD move on to the next one and so the cycle starts again, re-selling you 90% of the same content again and again and again.

Not worth reading past the word "rumour" IMO. They could put TT in the feature list on the back of the fking DVD box and it still wouldn't mean it will be in the game.CBR JGWRR said:

A bit of a shame that they haven't done a PS3 type version really as I'd buy it.

Fit to abandon GT6. Patch 1.11 failed to install, gets stuck durign the install phase, so I tried to rollback and force a redownload from the PS menu, and managed to wipe a years progress. My BB connection is crapping out, so the 2GB download (I'm guessing I took out the previous patch too) has taken since Monday, failed 3 times, and is still ongoing. It doesn't even restart a dropped connection, so I'm back to square one each time.
Is there any other way to download game patch data on a PC, then transfer by USB? I know you can do this for system updates.
[edit] looks liek I'll have to install a proxy server on a PC on the home network, and point the PS3 to that instead. fingers crossed.

Just bought GT6 today. Figured I might pick it up now everyone's worked out the best way to progress
It's taken three hours to install so far, and has been telling me I've got 2 mins to go for the last hour.
Joy.
I felt your pain last night. I bought the game at 19:00 yesterday evening. It had downloaded the main part (15 gb) by 20:30. By 22:00 the PS3 was ready to launch the game, but I expected a few updates. By MIDNIGHT it had updated and launched the game only for me to be presented with an in game installation screen first off telling me it had 580 minutes to go! This soon came down to four minutes, which took an hour to reduce to two minutes. I wondered into the lounge at 03:00 with the hope of turning everything off. Nope, still on 2 minutes! It's taken three hours to install so far, and has been telling me I've got 2 mins to go for the last hour.
Joy.
It was on the main screen when I got up for work this morning, so I just shut I down until tonight.
It certainly took a little longer than estimated!
