Still a bloody good driving game, esp online...set up a open public lounge at Brands Hatch then spent a good three hours running around in various cars with different randoms.
Roll on GT7
My sentiment to. I'm also a big fan of Brands, it was certainly a good addition to the game. Adding a few more UK tracks would be good to. Roll on GT7
Are people still having issues with the toe & camber settings being a bit unusual, cars defaulting to rear toe angle of 60 and 0 camber.
Well, I finally caved in and bought this last week having vowing never to get another GT after the disappointment that was 5. I'm enjoying it so far. I love the sierra rally track. WTF is the lunar level about? Lol. I nearly lost the will to live trying to obtain the golds and gave up in the end. Is the top gear test track on this one?

Golds easy on the lunar levels once you've added a turbo and NOS...... Top gear track is no longer in it due to licensing.

The stock settings on Fully Adjustable susp are very odd.
AH, Now I understand why the PS3 was mothballed for almost 2 years.
My copy of GT6 arrived bright and early yesterday morning. Since that time, all it has done is (very slowly, despite us having fast broadband) download updates for the game! About 5-6GB in total, and this has been so slow - sometimes even timing out and having to start again!
Turn the TV on this morning and it's all done, only to find it requires another update for the updates!
Arggghhhhhhh

I ALWAYS change that to -5 and +20 on EVERYTHING along with setting the spring rate and damping to a proven base setting that ties in with vehicle weight and weight distribution

Quite often you find when you upgrade to fully adjustable the spring rates/dampening are far softer than they would be on non adjustable. The stock settings on Fully Adjustable susp are very odd.
Does anyone even bother with the sports hard and sports soft suspension ?
Something else that I've put up with for a longtime is the starting sequence. I've been playing a Drive Club on PS4 and it's made me realise how much more fun it can be to have standing starts for races with far far more competitive AI, seriously for those who haven't played it the AI is fantastic, they can be aggressive, they set a very quick pace, they overtake each other and don't all default to parading around in single file on the racing line!
As a result those painful 10 odd seconds ( or more on some tracks) of having to wait for everyone else to start whilst your car cruises around at the beginning of each GT6 race really is far more annoying now than it used to be.

And there's scheduled maintenance at 0400 tomorrow so you'll likely have a big update to deal with aswell. My copy of GT6 arrived bright and early yesterday morning. re: the long strung out starts in every single race - this means GT6 is no longer a racing game in my opinion. You need a car quicker than the others to catch them, so because it is quicker, they can't repass you and there is no battling. I've said it before, but nothing touches TOCA on the original PS from what I have played for intense racing and GT6 should have at least some races a bit like that. I used to love having an inferior car in earlier GTs, which you could see because under each car it gave power and weight on the entry, qualifying its socks off to get on the front row of the grid and then trying to hold on the race. This follow the dog is a massive turn off to me, not been on it for nearly a year. Also the fact that they dropped the 24 hour races in gt6 meant it felt a bit hollow in terms of what I was working towards, career mode is far too easy to get cash and decent cars
Just out of curiosity, what improvements have been made to the game (particularly in the sound department) over the last 6 months or so? I bought GT6 at launch and got so royally fed up with it due to its shortcomings I got rid of it. It amazes me how over a year after launch the game still appears to be unfinished.
