Bought this today for a bargain $23.
Had to delete several other games to make space for it.
So far it has taken 4 hours to download all the updates and is now telling me it is going to take another 310 mins to install.
WTF?!
It better be good.

Fit a new hard drive with more space ? Did mine years ago from 40gb to 640gb.
Is it easy enough to do? Can you just use any type of hard drive, from an old laptop or something? It's ace now not having to worry about downloading patches or installing games & for a few quid (under £40) it's definitely worth it.

I upgraded mine from the original 40gb to 500gb about 3 months ago & it was honestly really easy. Hardest bit was deciding which HDD to go for & where to get it from. I didn't bother backing anything up & it took me about 10 minutes to do the physical swap then about 30 minutes to get it all set up. Plenty of videos on YouTube to show you how to do it, but if I can do it then anyone can

I have just bought a 1TB HDD for ours, am just waitng for the 64gb USB flash drive to turn up, so I can back up everything up on the 40gb HDD.It's ace now not having to worry about downloading patches or installing games & for a few quid (under £40) it's definitely worth it.
Drives are so cheap now it would be silly not to. I could only install GTA5 and GT6 with all the extras, and I bought The last of US, but couldn't download the extras as the 40GB PS3 HDD was full!

It is a great game online.
How are you getting on with it?
It's a good game online, IF, you can find a room that isnt tts driving at 70mph or a destruction derby. How are you getting on with it?
Look for lounges with "clean" in the title.

Good so far. Enjoying my yellow Jazz! How are you getting on with it?
I may have made a poor choice of second car though - not sure how well my Volvo 240 estate is going to fair! Once it is tuned it should be okay I think.
I forgot how silly they get with the number of cars - I lost count of the different S2000s available
Bathurst is fantastic - best version I've seen.
Finally got a copy of GT6 for my PS3. Is now downloading the first of the updates, could take a while on my 7Mb broadband!
Any tips for getting started with the game?
(I know I could Google, but appreciate people on here's thoughts)
I'm ' parabola117 ' if someone could add me to the PH group.
Thanks

Having only just started myself, my suggestion would be to look for cars that can be used in multiple championships.Any tips for getting started with the game?

For example, a RWD Skyline can be used in both the Japanese 90s challenge and the RWD challenge; an E-Type can cover the Classics and the RWD.
One of the reward cars is an Integrale - tuned to 496pp it can be used in a lot of races and is actually pretty handy.
Cover off as many as you can with as few cars as possible and save the credits - there are a few oddball challenges like an Electric vehicle one and a US one that need specific purchases.
Hi chaps, anyone got any hints on the nascar challenges? I'm fine with the 'proper' tracks with corners where i can outbreak the other cars. But i cant get near them on the oval tracks with the 70% power limiter..I bought the latest ford fusion(?) car but cant do any better than 13th
Is there a better choice of car? I've tried changing the gear ratios but to no avail...
Cheers

You really need to draft the other cars , get into their slip stream to get the tow along and then move out to pass at the very last moment before tucking in behind the next car. Is there a better choice of car? I've tried changing the gear ratios but to no avail...
Cheers

Gearing is essential so that you aren't hitting the limiter when you do draft pass people.

Bare in mind the cars you win have zero relevance to the next event you will want to tackle, try to buy cars that cover more than one base .Any tips for getting started with the game?

And compared to previous versions of GT you win hardly any cars.I also miss the second hand cars as those were essential on previous versions to get you started in the early stages.

Cheers mate. Its being able to catch them before doing this that is the problem. I can't get near them! Gearing is essential so that you aren't hitting the limiter when you do draft pass people.
