You really need to draft the other cars , get into their slip stream to get the tow along and then move out to pass at the very last moment before tucking in behind the next car.

Gearing is essential so that you aren't hitting the limiter when you do draft pass people.
Cheers mate. Its being able to catch them before doing this that is the problem. I can't get near them! laugh
Try staying high on fhe banked bits. That seems to work at High Speed Ring at least, might work at Daytona.

Ok, ta. I'll give it a try. But i'll probably do this last as its my least favourite part of the game, apart from the go-karts...

Midfield Raceway is making a return to Gran Turismo: http://pitstop.gran-turismo.com/en/article/1506

Being one of my favourite tracks in Gran Turismo 4, I can't wait to sample the track in a KTM X-Bow.

Apparently B-Spec is also coming in the same update, but I doubt anyone cares.

So B-spec and a new track but still no track update, seems like ages since we last had a decent update that wasn't just a crap VGT. I'll be looking forward to B-Spec as I haven't switched the game on all year apart from to update for free cars so can hopefully complete the game.

You know, for the life of me I cannot remember the Midfield course although I do recall the course logo. Never had GT1/2, only started playing them from GT3-6 and I know it was on 3 & 4.

Heard they're releasing a new mini during a future update. Nothing exciting, just a mini. Bloody hell!

I remember Midfield because I did a lot of testing there in GT 4. The track goes around a hill if I remember, nice mix of fast and slow corners, a couple of hairpins and three tunnels if I recall.

I've never been a fan of the fantasy circuits, I'd rather they spent time on real tracks. Good to see they are still working on stuff though. smile

Midfield may be my favourite made up track from the GT series. That, Deep Forest or Trial Mountain. All are excellent, imo.

Hello Guys

I find myself surfing PH while on GT6 and came across this.

Does anyone else go onto the game, buy a car that takes your fancy then just smash around a track for half hour?

yes

Usually something tasty on Brands Hatch GP circuit.
I find it good to keep making small tweaks to the car as I go to make it nicer / faster and to get really zoned into the car.

Yup, spent the last couple of days mucking about in a Cadillac CTS .. that car is huge fun!

I don't do this anything like as much as I used to on GT4 though, I get fed up with the snap back on oversteer. 3 years on GT5 and GT 6 and I still haven't got to grips with it.

I've timed every Impreza and every Lancer Evo in the game to see which is the fastest before. I've even gone into nerdier levels than that.

Well a 500mb update came out and as expected B-Spec and new mini and circuit. B-spec seems to like driving off the track in a straight line especially if there's a wall coming up frown

If it's anything like GT5 then the B spec driver will take a while to learn about corners, brakes, and having to go around cars to get past them instead of trying to go through them.

B Spec is quite a bit different, you don't hire a team of drivers like GT5.

Is it like the gt4 version, effectively a fast forward button?
