my ps3 fried itself at Christmas and I think I am going to sink £200 into another one just because I still have 10 or so games for it (including for my kids) and I must admit I am looking forward to GT6 again. Did they ever put longer endurance type racing back in, there was a theory that race events would be added just as concept cars etc were being updated? Having done the 24h one on GT5 I thought it odd that it wasn't in gt6

Just free up about 6gb of space for updates when you receive it.

Yeah I've been expecting that. I remember when I got my PS3 with GT5 and several hours were lost to everything updating! Luckily there's a decent amount of space left.

Yeah, I hadn't played it for about 6 months, and thought "ooh, I fancy 20 minutes just blasting around Laguna Seca".

Inserted disc, and was told you need to download an update. Fair enough.

An hour later I got my 20 minutes of fun.

I usually don't sign in. Saves updating if you only wanna play for a short time.

I had a Subi WRX and a Jazzed up Mini cooper I enjoyed using before I moved. I really want to start playing again as I barely got a chance to before.

Well, PS3 #2 purchased and all updated and back playing again. I can't believe they still haven't got all the concept cars in, although there are at least a good few more! The time trial thing (Sierra) is OK, but the bings and 'overtake' are annoying. The Senna stuff is good, the Lotus F1 car is brutal and a beast to try and control, looking forward to getting the wheel and pedals out for that. But for all that updating, it still seems a bit, well, hollow really. Chasing off after a line of slower cars that you can pass easily and then don't race you back is just not racing and it never will be. They need to bring back qualifying and cars that actually squabble for position and race as a pack, I'm sure the first few iterations had this. So you could get a car that you had to drive hard to get a good grid spot and then race hard to win, or even come 2nd or 3rd but be satisfied with having a good race. At present, with the long line basis of racing, you try with a car and if it isn't fast enough to get you to the front by the end, you just choose a faster one and then the overtaking is even easier and the 'race' even duller. Can't believe they still haven't thought of that.

What i find quite amusing is to enter races with a car that is 100-150 performance points lower than the maximum. That way it's more of a challenge as some of the other cars are very capable of blasting past you on the straights but you can nail them through the corners.

My current weapon of choice is a mildly tuned Spoon S2000 circa 500PP, it punches well above it's weight and it's good fun chasing 600PP+ cars in it.

Anyone had issues with the last update? It downloaded and got through the 1st part of installing it. But then on the 2nd installing screen the install freezes and doesn't move on.

Playstation is ok for other games and only GT is not working cry
