Gran Turismo 6....Official thread.
Discussion
The fabled course maker is finally here:

As far as I can tell, the tracks will be designed on an application (iOS and Android), saved to a PSN account and then loaded onto GT6. Whilst I would prefer that the tracks could be created within GT6, I'm just glad it's finally been released.
Hopefully it's not a let down, it's only been 663 days.

Weirdly I've just given this a quick go (first time in over a year, I think?)
After the massive, massive list of updates I really think this stands up well. I've been through numerous PC sims and Forza 6 and I still managed to enjoy GT6.
What really stood out, though, was the 3D. I upped the depth effects and had a blast around the Ring and, despite my eyes feeling like they were being sucked out my head, it looked incredible. Even matching Oculus Rift level of immersion in some parts (OR needs lots of development and way more power).
And the sound effects have improved massively since launch.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. Who'd want to make video games in this day and age?More like damned if they don't, damned if they take 663 days to do it.
To give an idea here's my oversized Goodwood and excuse the wrong start position I was tired.
Basically you can import a jpg to trace, this is the jpg plus my overlay:
Gt6 Goodwood by -robinecs-
And just my overlay:
Gt6 Goodwood 1 by -robinecs-
The curves seem to be harder the tighter they are. Over the next few days I plan to scale it down put the start straight in the right place and actually test my track.

Had a little play last night and was quite impressed. Pity you cant edit gradient, but once you learn the environments it should be easy to recreate some decent tracks. Had a go at a classic hockenheim style layout, quite liked being able to add woodland etc to make a decent blast out of the complex set-up.
Thumbs up so far.
