Good question, it doesn't sit square with the background.

FFS, they've also carried over the paint chips system, why? That was an appalling piece of game design.
they have changed it so once you get a colour code you can use it infinite amount of times
yes

I like the paint chip system tbh

Reviews seem good!
For the most part yes. [b]The main criticism is the micro transactions and slow inflow of in game credits but everything that matters, i.e the physics, graphics and overall presentation are being highly praised. Promising start...

Might have to pop into town at some point and pick up a copy if the reviews are good.
Have you bought a wheel yet?
Or are you going to be playing it with a pad then complaining about the handling like you did on GT5?
wink

tbh you'd be better off sticking with Forza Josh

Neither was I but it transformed the way the cars drove.

Just don't buy a crap one - it can be worse than not bothering.

Logitech wheels are good, but not the very cheapest one. You may do better to grab a 2nd hand one on ebay, to get more bang for your buck. G27 is probably a good shout but they can be pricey.
What he said. I originally got a Driving Force GT and it was pretty pointless. The feedback was so slow it felt nothing like driving a car IRL, catching slides etc.

I swapped for a T500 RS and it's much better
Odd, that wheel gets a lot of praise on other forums!
Did you change all the settings on the Driving Force GT? I set mine up as per the thread on GTp and it was a lot better.

I'm on a Fanatec GT3-RS wheel now though.

How much space will I need to install it including the patch? My fat old 40GB ps3 is showing as having only 1GB free. I've only got game data for GT5 and Last of Us still on there so I'm not sure what the other 39GB is being used up with!
Just over 1.2gb as far as I know

Anyone able to explain how i get my precision pack and torque pack cars?

I redeemed the codes for both in the store already, playing the game they are not there.
Tried the same codes again in the ingame store.

Both apeared to work and downloaded small files for each but still the only cars i have in garage is the anniversary blue cars plus the Honda Fit, Clio rs and a junior kart.

Going to drop out if the game and reboot it, see if both other packs apear.

Edit: nope no change after reboot!

Any ideas please?

took 2 attempts to download mine, after it installs wait for the popup showing the new cars
Thanks Colin.
It says downloading, then installing then I get the install complete message screen that you can only opt "O" to back out of.

Cheers will keep retrying then.

Having played it for a couple of hours now I have to say I'm really enjoying it, it's far better than GT5 IMO. My only real criticism is it's far too easy at the moment, even with them trying to make it harder by having rolling starts and spacing the cars out you're still taking the lead pretty quickly. I don't know why they've never put a difficulty slider in, surely it wasn't too much to ask?

As for the sounds, some are great but some are terrible. I tried out my Z8 last night, what an anticlimax! Other than that, a great game.
In terms of difficulty, I found the best thing to do is just use a car with a PP between 100-150 lower than the limit and stick either the Sports Hare or the Comfort Softs on.

Makes it much harder and more rewarding
Yeah I'm playing a good few PP below maximum for each race and enjoying the AI

Trying to decide whether to pick this up. I didn't really enjoy GT5 and I'm getting stuck into Forza 5. Maybe this will turn up under the tree.
If you didn't enjoy GT5 then don't bother.
Stick to Forza 5 coffee
