GT5 - PHPCC - S5 - New Drivers Welcome

After another brilliant season im happy to start the season 5 thread , the start date for S5 can either be the 22nd (1 week's break) or the 29th (2 weeks break) which i'll leave up to the drivers. The rules are as follows:
Car Rules
PP - 500
Tyres – Sports
Classes – Hatchback, Saloon, Estate, Coupe, Convertible and Pickup
Must pick 3 cars for the season
3 races per car
Only 1 car allowed in each class
Aero parts allowed
No ballast allowed except to apply penalties
You can pick any colour but all 3 cars must be the same colour
Can’t use the same cars that you’ve used in the last 2 seasons but you can use different generations of the same model so for example if you’ve used a Evo IX before you are allowed to use a Evo X etc
Race Rules
2 races each night roughly lasting 30 minutes each
Success Ballast – 1st = 150, 2nd = 120, 3rd = 90, 4th = 60, 5th = 30
Ballast carries over to the next race in that particular car
Ballast Application Process:
1. Remove any previously applied ballast
2. Set engine power so that the car is at 500PP
3. Apply required ballast
4. Any further changes to engine power or vehicle weight are not permitted (ie. success ballast is intended to restrict your car to below 500PP).
You don’t need to pit anymore so the 2 compound rule is now also gone
Driving aids – ABS only
Visible damage – off
Mechanical Damage – off
Slipstream – weak
Boost – off
Start Type – Grid with false check
Tyre Wear – Normal
Grip – Real
Driver’s Panel
The panel will consist of 3 driver’s from the championship that have put their names forward for the role, the role of the panel is to look at incidents in races and determine if the driver in question is at fault and if so what penalty they want to apply for that action.
There will also be back up panellists in case the main panellists are involved in the incidents so the other panellists will step in to make sure the decision is fair to all parties involved.
If you want to complain about another driver because they done a dodgy move, cut corners or caused a crash etc then you would need to PM myself either on the PS3 or PH. Any complaint you may have must be kept private so no posting in the lobby or on the forum otherwise you risk getting penalized yourself.
If you do not agree with the panel’s decision for any reason you have the right to appeal against it by again sending myself a PM and I will look into it personally, each driver has 2 appeal “uses” for the full season so if I overturn the panel’s decision you won’t lose a “use” but if I back up the panel’s decisions you will lose one of these “uses”. If you run down to 0 uses you will not be able to appeal any decision against you. Again these appeals are to be kept private and any breach of this will again risk getting yourself penalized.
There have been some concern’s from drivers that the panel will be making the rules but this will not be the case as I will still be in charge of making the rules for the championship also if not enough drivers come forward to be on the panel then i would take over making these decisions but the appeals process would still stay the same.
Driving Rules
There has been a few arguments over the course of season 4 regarding what moves are allowed/disallowed so the guidelines below are to clarify what is ok to do and not.
Overtaking into corners:
The front of your car must be at least more than half way alongside the lead car for it to be a legal move, if it isn’t then you will need to back off and try to again after the corner’s apex. Late braking into a corner to get alongside which forces the lead car to change their racing line or results in contact will be classed as a illegal move.
Overtaking on corner exit:
If you are overtaking on the exit of a corner you can battle for track position for the next corner but you must not force the other driver off the track.
Defending your position:
The lead car has priority in using the racing line going into a corner, on straights the lead car can make one sudden move to block the chasing car as long as it doesn’t result in contact or force the other driver off the track. The lead car is then allowed to move back gently once again as long as no contact is made or forces the driver off track.
Lapping cars:
These guidelines are for if you are about to be lapped “lappee” or you are about to lap another driver “lapper”. The “lappee” is well within their rights to stick to their normal driving line as it’s up to the “lapper” to get past cleanly, if the “lappee” decides to yield to the driver behind you should do it on a straight and by sticking to your normal line so the chasing car can predict what you’re going to do.
Points
Positions = 25,21,18,15,13,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Pole position = 1 point
Set fastest lap = 1 point
Lead the race = 1 point
Class winner = 1 point
The points system above will only apply to the overall table as the class tables now have their own points system to encourage variety.
Positions = 20, 15, 10, 5
The way this system works is for example you finish 5th on the grid and won the saloon class you would get 14 points towards the overall table but then 20 points for the class table.

Round 3/4 - Fuji Speedway F - 15 Laps
Round 5/6 - Cape Ring North - 20 Laps
Round 7/8 - Grand Valley Speedway Reverse - 14 Laps
Round 9/10 - Le Mans 2009 w/chicanes - 6 Laps
Round 11/12 - Eiger Nordwand Reverse - 24 Laps
Round 13/14 - Autumn Ring Reverse - 20 Laps
Round 15/16 - Tokyo R246 Reverse - 15 Laps
Round 17/18 - SSR5 Reverse - 20 Laps

I had a quick go with the Nsx Tamora and rx8 round grand valley east and the rx8 was by far the biggest handful. Hence why it may change, haven't had a go with the Impreza saloon yet so watch this space.
