I'm not in the zoo Mazda Cup, I was running in inRacingNews, it still seems to repair immediately - though I've never been in twice can one race so maybe we get a free pass there too.
Ah, you mean the temps update when you're in the pit box? That'd make some sense as they could check your pressures while you were in.

Started well but it's the last little bits that make assembly a job.
Assembly instructions are terrible, videos online help but could be better.
Size is bigger than stated, 180x100 vice 160x66.
It's good and heavy, very sturdy.
Keyboard arm doesn't move as easy as I'd like. Getting in and out isn't easy.
Overall pretty good 8/10

How are you getting on with the Rift?
Not sure I can use it to race with tbh. I get sick/dizzy too soon and the resolution is just way too low to see effectively. The realism is awesome though. I think that with a motion seat it would be much better but that's silly money. Really helps me hit the apex and look through the corners for position.

Honestly,
Tried it for first three days and now it's sat in the corner.
It's a superb bit of kit and I look forward to demonstrating it to friends. could I use it day to day, unlikely.
For racing it's certainly interesting, but at it's current resolution you couldn't learn a track on it.
I'll prob keep it for a month or so and then ebay it in time for Christmas. Hopefully i'll get my full money back.
Like a dirty kebab wench, been fun, but I don't want to keep her.

That's the crux of the very long forum thread for Spa, where's the line, especially when compared to other circuits? Two wheels on the kerb at Spa, at some corners, seems to penalise far far more than nearly completely off track at other circuits. Consistency is the issue.
But yes, your point is well made.

Sold the Oculus this week.
A LOT of interest in eBay. Ended up selling for £350 cash.
I'd have got 2 or 3 if I realised how much demand there was.
The Obutto is going well, not as good as mid hoped but good nonetheless.
Its bigger than advertised. Its awkward to get I'm and out of. The keyboard tray clips the gear shifter. I haven't ordered the trays but suspect they will also clash with the keyboard tray and shifter.
Still a great rig and boy its heavy!
esit that - wireless keyboard just arrived. Access much easier now. A must for this rig.

I did mine as a 99p no reserve 10 day auction, free postage.
8 days remaining and I was up to £220 with several offers of BIN.
May well have gone for more than £320 but bear in mind special delivery with insurance will be £20+.
Sometimes wish I still had it but it's just for novelty value, certainly not for racing.
What I did find extremely fun was watching a replay of someone else and using the gyro cam. The Maclaren is excellent. It's just like being on a ring taxi or something, I was honestly looking at the guy driving and looking at the track absolutely stting myself as we lapped! Was brilliant!

I was using mine to scare people mostly.
Putting them on the roller coaster or other apps and watching them freak out.
With the Rift and the Razer Hydra I got at the same time that will give me £400 back in the bank for other frivolous purchases.
On iRacing - I love Spa! Seems to suit me, after a disappointing qualifier at 3.00 something I'm hitting 2:57 regularly in the actual race. I know it's not race winning pace but it's keeping me up in the top 5 or 6 on some large fields.
Does anyone know how the division thing works, is it by iRating or just random?

Well that's another £50 spent on tracks and the Skippy.
Enjoy, Skippy is fun & challenging. I suspect I'll race that again this season depending on how large the grids for SRF are. Mount Panorama last night was seeing grids of 46 cars, MX5, Solstice and SRF. Start from pitlane, wait around, drive past the absolute carnage coming down the mountain!Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
