Started this morning, got the first bunch of events won. Nice solid arcade racer.
Anyone else having trouble with the servers? Signed into PSN no trouble, but Driveclub server keeps connecting/disconnecting every two minutes.
Servers are absolutely bksed. Sony have somehow managed to launch the first 'social racer' and fail to,have the servers in place to cope with demand. Pretty embarrassing for a game that is a year late due to them needing more time to get the social aspect to the game to work. Anyone else having trouble with the servers? This has happened to a lot of big multiplayer releases this year, companies haven't yet figured out a process of supporting launch load, you'd think they would figure out a way to backup initial demand something like Amazon Computing services etc.
Anyway, patch seems to have done nowt, not been connected for most of the day, I have accepted a couple of you but until they sort this we won't get a multiplayer game on.

Have this also first time I played the ps4 in over a month on it last night, due too cutting half of my left thumb off, struggled but got there playing it. First impressions it's ok only ranked upto level 5 shame you don't buy rather than unlock cars.

Something tells me you'll need more then two Pistonheads clubs when you can only have 6 members!
I think its a great fun racer. No idea what the bad reviews are all about, except probably not understanding what type of title this is supposed to be. It's like a modern-day PGR. It wasn't (in my mind) ever meant to be a Forza competitor (mostly point-to-point rather than circuit based, and no real locations), nor GT6. It's a beautiful arcade racer that takes sits proudly alongside some of the greats (PGR, Outrun, Burnout etc).
Looking forward to solid Multiplayer. Only been online for about an hour, but set up a club and had a few good online races. Happy with single player for now working way through and unlocking the cars as I level up.
Pcars will be good, no doubt, and definitely more realistic (for those that need that), albeit I found the demo I played at EGX pretty poor in the way of joypad control tbh. Maybe it will be better with a wheel though...

PGR was a classic (PGR3 the best one). DRIVECLUB for me isn't in the same league or category imo. PGR was city based, actually fun to play and in every department better than DRIVECLUB.
I'd say DRIVECUB's direct competition is Forza Horizon. I'd say the original Horizon as the 2nd one (on the Xbox One) is again, in a different league compared to DRIVECLUB.
Racing games are my thing and unfortunately for DRIVECLUB (imo) it just doesn't cut it.
