The BF4 one should show the guy appearing for split second on the horizon, then teleporting to behind you to knife you, then re-appearing a second later on the horizon again!
I played a bit of Conquest 64 on China Rising last night - the rubber banding on that was worse than ever.

Played capture the flag for the first time last night, seemed a few PH'er on there and then they all disappeared! Something I said??
Not a big deal for you guys but I got into double figures for kills without using a tank or rockets. So progress is being made! with the smaller group there didnt seem to be any issues worth worrying about.

Smaller games do seem to have fewer problems - but most of us bought PS4s specifically to play 64 player games of BF4! We could play 32 player games on the PS3.
No we couldn't Ps3 was 24 players Max
If it indeed is hardware problems like they said (which it does look that way with only full 64 players servers having massive rubber banding issues) that should be easily fixable - throw in a couple of hundred grand on server hardware and we're all gonna be happy

Anyone tried the Firestorm/Caspian assignment where you have to get a 10 person kill streak and land on the top of the tower in the same game?
It's going to be a tough one as the vehicles are nicely balanced, so you can't go on the rampage in an IFV/Boat (not looking at you Judge, honestly).
Sniping from the tower in Firestorm is out - you're a sitting duck for everyone on the map, so I'm wondering what the best tactic is?
I thought about mobile AA, but I tend to get walloped by the A10 if I hang back or C4ed by personnel if I get stuck in, before getting up to 10 kills?

I've racked up some good streaks by sniping from the mountains at the 'back' of the map... not gonna be easy to get 10 though! It's going to be a tough one as the vehicles are nicely balanced, so you can't go on the rampage in an IFV/Boat (not looking at you Judge, honestly).

We all went for dinner or had a break. Im always up for CTF as find its the less laggy one of them all plus theres an objective as opposed to chicken/egg CQ.Played capture the flag for the first time last night, seemed a few PH'er on there and then they all disappeared! Something I said??

Last nigths CQ was shocking though, packet loss, rubber banding, would get disconnected each map etc yet i seemed to be able to drop people with a few hits. Or the other thing would be that my screen would freeze/'packet drop' when i was near the enemy and one instance rubber banded back into someone killing me.
So not quite sure if the lag switch works (as the rubber banding back into a kill was prevalent when i played COD at one point) or the game.
PS4 has died. Proper, no hint of life died. With disc in machine.
bks.
For those that have had a console die on them (preferably a playstation), how much hassle is it gonna be to get its replacement (assuming I can find the reciept) up and running with everything such as premium etc.?

Update - it's back, but no clue how. Hit the PS button when putting it back and it fired up. Phew! bks.

Felt like the entire enemy team were after me - had a motion sensor down and was being surrounded!
I know a few of the guys have been trying out the jets on air superiority without much success and I finally found out how to get the kills!
You need to play Air Superiority and flag cap (ignore enemy jets completely) until you unlock all of the weapons - you need 30,000 points, but you get around 200 for a flag cap (you need to loop the loop around/circle the balloons) plus 500 for winning a game, so make sure you have a points boost on ("Options" button whilst in game, then Square, then select the boost and hit X) and it should come around quite quickly.
Once you've done that - select Active Radar Missiles, 30mm Cannon, auto loader and flares.
The active missiles are point and shoot, once guided, they self guide to their target which doesn't get a lock on warning, so they're much more effective than heatseakers or passive radar.
The 30mm cannon does 8 pts of damage per bullet, but has a relatively low rate of fire.
The general tactic is then to try to get behind an enemy jet and fire 1 missile. If this hits, it will "stun" the enemy jet for a second or two allowing you to get a good burst of cannon fire into it, then fire your second missile to finish it off.
It's still not easy to get the 5 kills you need for the Jet Warfare ribbon (mainly because if your victim crashes before the jet explodes, you don't get the kill! ), but it's the most effective way I can find of doing it and I racked up the 3 ribbons required for the assignment within an hour or so at the weekend.

The best way to rack up jet ribbons is use the attack jet to destroy the AC130 gunship. 1-3 kills each time and it respawns immediately. You're normally so high that the AA can't get you and the other jets don't see you. Didn't even think about that! Still, at least I'm now averagely competent in a dogfight.
Any tips on UCAV kills - it seems very variable with me - sometimes I stick it between a group of two snipers and kill them both, others I stick it at someone's feet and I don't even get a hit marker?
