Well that went well....
Is it just me or is every clan match massively glitchy? Was totally ridiculous tonight - people running through a hail of bullets to one shot kill me? Not sure why it would be any different to a normal public match, but every single clan match I've played in BF4 has been the same?

I'm also really grumpy cause I'm knackered.
Can I volunteer as the opposing force in any practice, me and coordinated tactics don't go together!
However bizarrely I totally agree with the need for greater organisation if we are to play more matches (just hoping a few lone wolves will be allowed). Oppositions have definitely got more organised than in the early days of bf3 + I suspect the greater number of players requires it too + as comms are not as good on bf4 prior planning is probably required.

I suspect something as simple as having dedicated vehicle squads would make a huge difference, e.g. having a couple of guys with repair torches and stingers as well as the pilot in the scout heli and having a gunner with a repair torch and proximity sensor perk in the tanks.
Pretty boring for the supporting guys, but it makes for a formidable opponent capable of taking out pretty much anything on the battlefield.
Could always rotate the pilot/driver slot around the squad if we were really organised.

Basically this. I think we're all mature enough to let the decent pilots/drivers get on with the job.Pretty boring for the supporting guys, but it makes for a formidable opponent capable of taking out pretty much anything on the battlefield.

I know I said it last time (and subsequently forgot to do it) but we need 4 squads for 4, with each squad dedicated to a flag.
Squad 1 - vehicle squad - 'home' flag
Squad 2 - engineers/medics - C
Squad 3 - engineers/medics - B
Squad 4 - Slayers - Enemy 'Home' flag/general nuisance.
The plan would be to put Pilchard/Mike/Jon/Youngsyr etc... in squad 4 and give the a more free role to cause a nuisance, taking pressure off the C and B squads as the enemy moves to deal with them.
The vehicle squad quickly moves to take A/D, then roves around the 3 home flags, providing support and running back to cap A/D if we lose it.

So true! No idea which one I'd be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRaTzRJHh0M
On the tactics side of things. Personally I'd say vehicles is a bit of waste sat back your own spawn (is that normal BF tactics?). I'd also say it may not be worth attacking their flag as we would only need to hold 2 of them. Maybe have a few slayers hovering around though yes. The way I see it would be..
Squad 1 - Protect Home Flag (x2 Snipers with motion sensors, others slayers)
Squad 2 - Vehicles Squad/Engineer (in and around main battle area, usually B)
Squad 3 - B poss. C Flag Takers/Protectors/Runners
Squad 4 (If we have that many)- Slayers Flag Takers/Protectors (B still being priority)
Other tactics...
Chat party, move to the relevant squad party and the party creator should name their chat ie Squad A or Golf etc.
There was a distinct lack of Spawn Beacons, if we're to stick together as a squad while pushing forward or protecting we would defo need at least 1 spawn beacon nominee from each squad.
Lots of gaymores/motion sensors etc.
OK, so from that. Being by far the best pilot known to mankind I would like to nominate myself as the PH Pilot, however, one or two may disagree so I'm content to sit there fixing tanks and such vehicles with occasional RPG backup
Good points.
There is potential at the start to make a real difference I think.
Load one person from each squad into da chopper, running stinger/repair. Get da chopper to the enemy side of the middle flag, three bail and everyone on thier squad spawns on them. Suddenly the enemy have 12 players between them and the middle base, and a chopper full of one squad spotting/taking down enemy vehicles.
Get a stronghold on the middle flag, then one squad drop back to home flag through respawns.
Based on that, you'd have two squads of run and gun killers, one heli squad providing reinforcement, and a home flag squad able to be lone/pair wolves running spoiler operations (as long as home flag is held).
Need to think how this would work on Zavod...

So, what's the outcome then - are we going to decide on vehicle squads at least?
I think it's pretty obvious that Judge should have first choice of LAV/Tank/boat, do we have any volunteers to back him up and run Judge's choice of kit?
I'm quite happy to be in a chopper if that works, either as pilot/gunner or engineer.
Might be useful to have a centralised ammo dump on each map too, so that the chopper/boat/LAV/Tank crews can reload their missiles. One ammo crate in an easily accessible area at a friendly flag should do it.
If we then practice a bit in public matches when the relevant people are on, I think it will really pay off in the matches.

One of my favourite and arguably most productive roles is as a tank/ LAV driver so would be happy to back up Judge as either. Or as gunner/ engineer with repair torch too.
I personally think we should use 'our' server for practice, ensuring all the PH guys get on the same side. Taking on 'all comers' during practise, should give us the opposition diversity we need to evolve into squads/ a team that can perform in any situation.
