Early start for me as well, 4.30 off to Rockingham helping another team out in BGT.

So last night a few of us got together on PCars for a shindig... Safe to say that:

Vantage can set up a race car but not a lobby
Pilchard is VERY good at getting others cars to cream into the bollards at Oulton
Steve... well just don't race him when he is an Audi... And don't let him get into position for a Pit Manoeuvre..
As for me, well i found a novel way of passing steve without actually passing him on Oulton. #GlitcherLife

All those who wish to partake in a less rigid (Aka similar to our BF4 clan) approach to a competition, i suggest that alongside the main PH championship we run a 'BF4 Reprobates Challenge Cup'.

No locked down class, merely one or two races with us to 'get gud brah' and just have some fun.

If it was a cycling game I would be in smile

Now you are all playing cars there is no chance of bumping into you when I do actually play the odd round of bf4.

In my defence Havoc, the bd thing had an overlay screen not disappear while the screen behind with the lobby details on was still live - hence a press of the O button closed the bloody thing!
Plus at Brands the GT3 BMW is rubbish, far too slow against the McLaren.

Seems to be a few bugs, but not the end of the world. I do however like how easy it is to make your own private race and invite people. For once they actually thought that friends might like to race and not (like BF4) try and enter en-mass into a server. Was a little surprised there were only 20 races going on when I looked.

Look forward to seeing you guys on P Cars. smile

Anyone want to pick a track we can nail some time trials for and get a bit of friendly competition going? (I nominate Bathurstsmile)

Project cars hasn't gripped me in the way I thought it would (yet) so I find myself back on BF4 - just thought I'd mention that the Spring update is out today and it looks as though they have been tinkering again to create some frustrations. There is talk that every weapon has been "balanced", 5 new ones added and 2-shot headshot kills are back (but details on this are sketchy).

They have also brought back "Gun Master" from BF3.

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/news/view/bf4...

The update is just under 4GB so if you are planning a game soon you might want to kick the download off beforehand.

DICE continues to constantly improve Battlefield 4 to make the best gaming experience possible. In the Spring Patch (releasing late May for all platforms), we’ve listened to your feedback and gave you what you wanted – more guns!
Five new weapons

Some of the weapons are old fan favorites, others are picked based on their unique gameplay aspects. These are the five new weapons:

New fan favorite Assault Rifle
Picked based on its unique burst gameplay and massive fan desirability

New Carbine
A unique bullpup carbine with built-in vertical grip

New PDW
A unique PDW with built-in silencer

New Sidearm
Unique long range “sniper” sidearm using magnum rounds

New LMG
Magazine fed LMG, which with the new weapons balance, plays in between a belt-fed LMG and an AR – your “run and gun” LMG

Full weapons balance pass

In the Spring Patch, we have also revamped the damage, falloff and suppression model. With this pass, we’ve touched every single weapon in the game – and how they play.

Our goal has been to create distinct roles for the weapon classes, and award skill of the player through increased recoil and by bringing back the 2-bullet headshot!

Return of Gun Master

Next up, we are bringing back Gun Master game mode – which gained its popularity in Battlefield 3: Close Quarters.

Gun Master is played like a Team Deathmatch game. The twist is that you don’t get to choose the weapons used. You swap weapons every time you get two consecutive kills on an opponent and whoever is the first player to get a kill with the final weapon wins!

The mode will contain the following five presets with at most 18 different weapons in each:

Standard
This setup contains rifles, machine guns, shotguns and pistols and ends with the M9 bayonet

Classic
Classic rifles, machine guns, shotguns and pistols ending with a M9 bayonet

Pistol
In this preset you can only use different kind of pistols, ending with the survival knife

DLC
This mode will let you play with DLC weapons – including the Phantom bow

Troll
Seeing how Gun Master is a “party mode”, we had to make a silly weapon list too! This one starts out with ballistic shields (as weapons) and it’s downhill from there

Oh and the update is one of those really irritating ones that resets all your weapon and vehicle settings and changes your loadout.

ended up playing it last night with Gunner and co and seeing how far we could send atvs and motorbikes across the map with c4 before turning it off due to boredom

from the hour or so i have played on the new update it hasn't seemed so bad. Hitreg seems no different pre-update. The Gun master mode never appealed to me as it was part of the close quarters crap that pandered to the COD masses more then anything so won't be trying that one out. the AN-94 is making more people play as assault and use the class properly with reviving etc which is always a good thing! smile Tried it myself for a little while and it shoots well with little recoil. With a decent sight on it and a suppressor i will be happy using it.

The gorza for the engi class is just a slightly buffed version of the AS-VAL but still can't tempt me we away from it. Biggest disappointment is the L86A2 though. Used it in BF3 but 1st impressions in bf4 it feels very weak, even at close proximity.

Working nights now this week so gonna smash some BF4 on sunday after the GTA race smile

The AN-94 definitely seems to be the gun of choice at the moment.

Might give BF4 a whirl at the weekend. Seen a video on the updates and the only thing I don't like the sound of is the shotguns being beefed up quite a bit and that includes hip fire too. Hate shotguns and getting killed by them. Nevertheless I shall be on if I get the time.

How are you lot finding Project Cars? Worth picking up?

Might dust off the shotgun wink

New curvy TV and surround sound has given this game a second lease of life - the sound is immense!

P-Cars is very, very good imho. Everything I would want in a car game. Best since TOCA.

Same old BF4 issues now, being killed by one shot tanks (if im on foot) - yet if i point blank or direct score on infantry = nothing. Hit register being a joke - a tank got in between myself and another in my squad (we geeks have comms), both blasting away (i hit the tank 4 times) and nothing and no, no active protection enabled.

It did seem to play a bit better than the other night but still wk

Nothing much has changed then smile Conquest for me always had too many issues, tis why I mainly stick to TDM but it's not everyones cup of tea.

Yeah 6, a new TV can do that to people. My 4 or 5 year old TV is looking a bit shabby now and will defo be looking on replacing after work on the house n wot not is done. Not sure about a curved one though, how are you finding it playing FPS compared a flat screen? BF4 sound is awesome (can we use that a word here), I have a decent headset for that though as the wife was never too pleased listening to a full on war going on throughout the house shootearscurse.

Before the update everything was fine (for me), its just since that ive had the issues. Having said that, its the same after every update and then gets better.

Another one i had recently was the controller sensitivity - normally have it at 60%, was hyper sensitive, took it down to 30 and was still hyper sensitive. Last night, even 60% was sluggish so looks like ive got a dud controller again

Had a few games last night, tried out the mares leg? New sidearm, didn't get a kill with it I think!

Did pretty well for a few games then decided to snipe one the last one and got 3 new headshot records. 16xx, 17xx and 1813m! Previous best being about 1100!

I like that I can now you can start a playlist of 'year one maps' which is just all of them, previously you had to select original or each dlc individually so that's good smile

Bad point, I had to set up all my classes and vehicle settings again... always a pain!
