More things I just don't understand (this list will be added to when I have more time:
1. When I am in a tank and I see an enemy tank, I see him, I shoot and hit, I continue to shoot and hit. Yet I die first.
2. When I see an enemy tank and I am an engineer, I fire about 4 rockets to get a kill, or most likely he runs off in seconds or kills me. When I am in a tank and there is an enemy engineer, about 200 rockets are heading my way in 10 seconds flat.
3. When I have a SPAS or other shotgun, my first hit annoys the person, the second one scares them and my third kills. When I come up against an enemy with a Spas, he looks in my general direction and I die before I've got a shot off (please note two guys yesterday didn't even look at me they were running along past me and I still died)..
Welcome to the wonders of Battlefield 4! 1. When I am in a tank and I see an enemy tank, I see him, I shoot and hit, I continue to shoot and hit. Yet I die first.

Whilst I am enjoying coming back to it, I simply cannot manage to kill any C4 bks before he gets me!! It seems as though even if he doesn't directly plant the C4 on me as long as it's in a 10 meter radius I'm reduced to 20% health and immobilized! My tank shots have to be hit him directly for a kill as splash damage isn't enough.

Standard BF4 stuff tbh - Tanks, aren't even close to their real life counterparts and blokes who can run through 120mm HESH and .50 HMG Coax to put three C4 charges on you, detonate without running away and yet survive enough to teabag.
(Yeah because most tanks don't have .50 HMG in coax and the UK tanks do even have them on the commanders hatch).chuntington101 said:

- Army mode on*
Most of the UKFOR armour (ACV/IFV up) have 7.62mm coax or a pintle mount at the very minimum. The Bulldog AFV i used to drive in Iraq comically had a GPMG that could pierce its own armour . Bulldog was upgraded FV430 Series and also had an option mount of .50 or GMG on an RWS.
Standard mount on CR2 is GPMG on commanders pintle for AA/Close defence, 7.62 chain gun on coax.
Challenger 2 - 7.62mm Coax chain gun + 7.62mm GPMG Pintle OR capability to mount RWS (Remote Weapon Station) with 12.7mm/40mm GMG - Conflict dependant - RWS was brought in initially as UOR (Urgent Operational Requirement). Nothing on pintle currently in service.
Leopard 2 - 7.62 Coax + 12.7mm on RWS (UOR)
M1 Abrams - 7.62mm Coax + M240 (FN GPMG same as Brits) on Pintle OR 12.7mm for AA/Close Defence
M1 Abrams TUSK - 7.62mm Coax + Coax 12.7mm mounted above primary armament in TUSK fitment.
AMX Leclerc (French) has a 12.7mm Coax.
I believe the .50 is actually mounted ABOVE the 120mm in game on M1... AKA TUSK fitment.
So whilst you're not wrong, you're not right either as the TUSK (Tank Urban Survival Kit) mounts a .50 in that exact same place off a solenoid control, running off the same sighting system. CR2 doesn't have RWS as standard, only those few that went to Iraq and were given RWS currently do, which represent a minute percentage of overall operational stock.
M1 deployed to Afghanistan and had TUSK - saw a lot of them in and around Naj e Saraj (northern helmand province) and FOB OULETTE. As such they have a higher percentage of operational stock fitted and from some discussion with a tanker friend in the US army, they're soon to have TUSK as standard as it doesn't distract from Tank to Tank warfare and only increases an M1s effectiveness.
The game still doesn't portray anything NEAR what these things are like.. The reality is RPG will breach a high percentage of armour types within its design range due to the fact it is designed to fire a copper slug and melt the metal/armour composite aka EFP (explosively formed projectile) is pure anti armour and you can even find out how much charge, behind what angle and size copper dish will breach what level of armour online. Bar armour is an effective protective measure against launched EFP weapons as it causes detonation further from the hull and therefore reduces effectiveness.
TUSK M1 Abrams
CR2 UOR Upgraded Armour and Defence Package + 7.62mm RWS
CR2 UOR Upgraded Armour and Defence Package + RWS 12.7mm
AMX Leclerc (12.7mm Coax right of barrel)
Leopard 2 UOR Package minus RWS (MG3 in situ)
Leopard 2 UOR Package + RWS.

Nice response Havoc!
TUSK equipped M1s doesn't count. Come on they have just strapped a M2 to the barrel! And what happens when you run out of ammo or the gun jams?
Same as with the RWS... You climb out of the nice, safe, warm, protected interior and fix/refill!TUSK equipped M1s doesn't count. Come on they have just strapped a M2 to the barrel! And what happens when you run out of ammo or the gun jams?
If it had a large mag capacity & was electronically driven there wouldn't be an issue. But its just a HMG strapped to the main gun! lol
Good old Americans.
Bit more detail....
'The Summer update for BF4 will include night versions of Zavod 311, Siege of Shanghai and Golmud Railway, as well as the usual bug fixes, gameplay tweaks, and a tweak to how fast turrets can move on different vehicles. DICE is also testing a 60Hz server tick rate, which improves performance and makes everything snappier.
Another great addition will be the toning down of the bullet traces that DICE introduced in the last patch for Battlefield 4.'

Ha! All this bhing and moaning about RWS systems - my old man woulda given you an education in 'proper' tanking, WW2 style, if he was still alive.
So bad that when he broke his wrist he loved being out of the thing so much he rebroke it twice himself to extend the light duties... This was in Palestine after the war which was a fking disaster from all angles. He did get to torch lots of buildings in Berlin sitting on a towed flamethrower though, so can't have been all bad...
Love the Dice comments, 'great news everybody, we've fixed something we broke, isn't it amazing!'.
