I believe certain things they can 'hotfix' so they don't need a patch. This is how they tweak matchmaking.

Looks like you need to preorder AND be a bf3 premium member, do I wont be joining you until friday.

Is that the mode where the PS3 completely locks up and needs a hard reset or is that another feature of the beta?

Thanks for the heads up though, will look for this rather than going for the quick play options.

Still dislike the spotting change, I prefer the helicopter controls though.

The whole "things just disappear at random" thing is irritating as is the not being able to control movement properly for a few seconds on initial spawn... oh and the whole hit detection, that seems to be all over the place.

Ditto, for me it's a no brainer. £10 to upgrade to the PS4 version when you want to and all your progress and stats get swapped over to the new console.

The extra month of playing before it's out on the PS4 will give you a massive head start on those who wait for it on the next gen.

Yep same here, Pre ordered and then upgrade to PS4.
Also, I see you guys on and try to join the same server but always queuing. Not getting a chance to try out the comms yet. Will have it fixed for tomorrow night though.
Maybe catch up with you over the next few days.

It's been out for 2 days already so has no one actually played it yet? I've been too busy to pick up my pre-order but I might give it a go this evening.

Reviews online all seem very positive but I'd like to hear about it straight from the horses mouth so to speak so come on guys!

Going to wait a while before i get it as currently playing GTA5 (not sure on all the hype for this game as im finidng it abit meh) plus wasnt all that enthralled by the demo, st hit detection/1 shot kills etc so ill wait until alot of the new glitches are found and sorted out before buying. Plus as im not getting a ps4 just yet, got a feeling itll be a lonely place after the PS4 pre-orders come out

Defo tomorrow. Might turn up in the post today if I'm lucky... but I expect the online servers might not be running... Not playing campaign, not going to break my habit of never playing the single player

Mine was dispatched from Amazon yesterday, so I'm hoping I might get a sneaky 30 mins on it tonight, but wouldn't be suprised if the servers aren't up yet - at least it will give me a chance to install the 4 hour update that is no doubt required!

Really busy with work at the moment, so playing time is going to be much more limited than on BF3.

The servers are definitely up and running, Lemmings Italian mates, the ones we’ve had a few matches against, have been playing for at least three days.

Not bothering with the PS3 version (can’t afford the time to play a lot in November so don’t want to the temptation) so would you chaps mind awfully not discussing it on here

BF4 doesn't support platoons initially, dropped off their list of priorities, but promises for early in the New Year so organising matches will probably be impossible until then.
